Ok fine. I'll shut up and quit. That's basically what you're telling me right? It was good knowing you all.
Get a hold of yourself. You don't have to like how I am, but you have to understand the world isn't a nice place. Much less you won't meet many people like me online who are stern with sincerity.

It's no problem. In real life, people (mainly my parents) always told me that I should be open and sociable. I have run into so many obnoxious people in my life, I think they outnumber the ones who's not. What this thread was really about are the friends that I've had on my list who was actually friendly... or so I thought. But they've turned on me. So even if someone is nice, they may not really be nice.

You know... I'm just going to say it. Ketoshira-kun or Sakura_Kitsune... or whatever name she prefers. Her betrayal took me suprise that's all.

How else should I take it if I'm being kicked out of every single session I go into? And I do mean EVERY session... no matter what kind it is or who's hosting it. Should I retire? I've tried hosting, no one ever joins... but if so, it is always brief. No one really plays ranked matches.

I've never booted you and fuk I can't count how many times we've fought
EDIT I only kick 1bars as they ruin it for everyone (I dont recall you ever having a 1bar)

At least you learned a valuable lesson. In real life or online, you gotta know what to look for in people. Real life is more of a struggle compared to online though. Merely because people can't say or do what they want without consequences. Regardless if it's online or not, I suggest sticking with people who are worth your time.

The WHOLE concept of "Online Rage" is a contagious mindset. People in online games do an admirable job of unlocking people's "Inner Asshole".

Your calm demeanor of "Win or lose, I just want to have fun!" is fine, but at the same time when you go online and some dickwad is teabagging you, belittling you, or losing and making up lies about them beating you and how trashy you are... It unlocks your Inner Asshole. When you see that guy online again, (unless you're Ghandi) you're going to be an asshole to that guy because of all the built up animosity.

Most players who play video games "competitively", do so for a lack of being competitive at anything else, like sports, or real life fighting. : To explain, have you ever seen how when someone Online has beef with you that isn't about player skill? Rather than resolving their differences maturely they usually revert to "Log Online right now so I can woop your ass!" The sad thing is they honestly consider their little controllable avatar to be an extension of themselves, as if smashing your avatar's unconscious body is symbolic in their fucked up minds that they're truly 'kicking your ass'.

People who play a lot of Online games all day pride themselves on their Video Game abilities, it's MORE than just a game to them. : How can you say to an Online player who has invested countless hours into getting good at a game that he sucks, and expect him NOT to get butt hurt? Games can be a huge time investment, and again, saying he sucks at a fighting game is like saying you could take him down and submit him Jiu Jitsu style and break his arm. You've just insulted his misplaced pride.

How have I dealt with Online Drama personally? : Well I've been around in fighting games for 5 years playing them Online and dealing with some of the biggest pieces of shit online has to offer, and lots of kind, friendly players. The thing is Online gaming used to be a huge part of my life because I was in school and didn't have a career, so when someone said I sucked at a game, I was determined to 'woop their ass' in that game. When I got good at games it wasn't because I wanted to get better, it's because I wanted to get better than OTHER people at the game. Big difference, and 90% of competitive players share that mentality.

The only cure is to not give a shit about commpetitive games enough to the fact that you don't give a shit enough about what Online people have to say about you. All the Online Drama stems from is people giving too many shits about nonsense anyways, like losing.

Well, there's your problem. He's a turd. First time I played him, he told me I was garbage then he booted me when I stopped caring and just farted around with Edgemaster in response.

Also IJ, every guy I see talk about real life fighting is someone who has strange mental issues. JerichoXwar, JTK etc all do that. While fighting a pack of teens in the street may be necessary on the daily, it seems to have zero net benefit on them being well adjusted individuals or somehow less prone to rage online. Usually it's the opposite. Thye're just ragemuffins all the time.

When Jericho was playing IRM on stream, he asked "Does anyone here fight? For real?" His XBL bio used to say he was a blackbelt who benched 220lbs as well.

And Sakura is Caylin.

It's my point exactly, these kids run around in games trying to get good and smash people online to compensate for a lack of social skills and to actually feel like they are good at something in their useless lives...

How sad is it when I smash some of these dumbasses in an Online match and they call me a "booster", "cheating", "lag tactics!" etc... They're all just angry children, and some of them are a lot older than me! 1) Someone says I cheat leaderboards in a game, 2) I go and kick their ass online, 3) they get upset and say I should travel 500 miles to fight them in an Offline Tournament. 4) Theoretically I do travel 500 miles to play a guy in a STUPID game and I beat him, what satisfaction do I get? A blow job? Does he bend the knee and kiss my ring? The fact is everyone takes their video game shit as personally as if you kicked them in the balls.

One of the reasons I stopped playing Online fighting games is because you start off bad at the game and people call you a noob, and when you finally get really good at it, all the good players hate you because they can't beat you. Or you get on top of some dumb leaderboard and they paint a target on your back. And even the players who you beat lie all the time that they beat you! Lmfao..

I agree with this I've seen it done to alot of my friends

All of that tells me that Online Gaming haves TOO much value...

All of that tells me that Online Gaming haves TOO much value...

People who have too much pride put too much emotion in the smallest, unimportant things. I know a person in real life who is a fat guy who didn't lose his virginity until he was 25, he prided himself on gaming and when he beat me on Mortal Kombat he talked about how much I sucked and laughed.... So I played him on DOA5 and destroyed him with Christie, and he then began ranting like a 12 year old how he couldn't block, how the moves were cheap, then he put down his controller and basically REAL LIFE RAGE QUIT on me.... Claimed he doesn't play Online fighting games because players aren't better than him, it's just "losing due to lag", hahaha!

I've realized people like that are just pathetic in general. Gaming should be a casual endeavor, not a devoted cause.

One thing I'm not too fond of is when people needlessly use "Virginity" as an example to things. I'm 28 and I still haven't lost mine. So that's not a big deal. No one needs to have sex to determine if they're a sensible person or to gain someones approval. One thing for sure is that Online Gaming developments is becoming WAY too frequent. The whole gaming and movie society is beginning to lose the value of packaging their products. This is an example of what I've had to go through with certain games that came out and then had later versions that weren't available in stores. Such as Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires. For me and most people I know, online isn't always functional. Although the same can be said about machines such as a DVD player but those are the things that you can fix yourself. Online, you'd better hope it functions or at least hope that the companies that are running it can keep it stabilized.

It is true that many players would use "lag" as an excuse. I even sometimes do it. I just don't point it out to people because I value respect. There has been lots of times I lost that I've felt I should have won, or at least done better in. There has even been matches that I've won that I felt like I shouldn't have won. I'm sure someone would probably say "If you use those same excuses about lag as these raging players do, then how does it make you any better than them even if you are keeping it to yourself?" Here's the difference. I lose, I think of excuses to how I lost and I don't say anything. I just keep battling and then when enough time passes, I completely forget about it. I don't forget about it in the way of accepting it. I mean I completely forget about it as in it's out of my memory. The good thing about that is, it avoids any arguments. Win or lose, you have THOUSANDS of matches and only a person with a brain about the size of a planet can remember each and every one of them individually.

About playing with the same players over and over again until they show their true colors by suddenly raging at you. Those are the players who eventually began kicking me out all of the time. Anyone good eventually stopped playing the game entirely. This sort of takes me back to when I said Online Gaming haves too much value. Online Gaming is too fun for everyone's own good! It's mainly for players who are good enough to just have fun.

See I can take people who bring it, smack talk, and play to win. Thus, people who beat me or I beat them and we have rematches like crazy. Or at the very least we try to have fun. However, certain people became so sensitive and petty.

My beef is cowards who win, talk big e-thug nonsense, and leave after that to avoid fighting me/boot me on sight. Hence I call them cowards, and try to move on. My other beef is also sore losers. Then you get those "once good friends now bitter enemies" due to silly nonsense. I also get some hatemail from all kinds of people too, but I don't post hatemail anymore.

If these bitter knuckleheads suddenly wanted to start something with me, I'd offer to fight them when I'm available in hopes to squash hostility and make simple rivalry. In actuality I want justice via revenge, but most times they flake out which leaves me sour for a bit.....and then I move on. However, it's very rare that a petty sensitive brat(don't care how old or what they are) would squash grudges for rivalry. Win or lose.

What I've also grown out of is these cliques online. I used to be clique-happy at one point, but now I've slowly gotten so stern to be careful. Need I say it, even some 8wayrunners here are in the "once good friends now bitter enemies" category. Goes to show people really do change given the circumstances.

As much as I won't, and don't want to derail this topic towards "virginity", I simply use that as a central mark for one's lack of real life inhibitions.

People were afraid of me because I'd make hate videos about their GT online and their Online rep meant the world to them... My Online rep got fucking obliterated by people who couldn't even beat me in games like SC4, and even if they didn't fight me they'd make up tales about me losing and rage quitting.... I made a goddamn 4 minute long video showing all the screen shots I had of people rage quitting. It sucks being top ranked on an Online leaderboard because everyone holds you to such a high standard and gets upset because they have inferiority complexes.

They need to beat you and hold your head on a fucking pike and shout "LOOK WHO I JUST BEAT!" and you get the little trash trolls who can barely string combos together saying things like "oh yeah he must have cheated to get his rank! God forbid I'm not even in the top 100,000 and lose 2 out of every 3 matches in my life!" One dude on DOA5 called me a booster after I 3-0'ed him with a perfect, like what did he expect me to do more to impress him? Crack the screen on his TV? Oh, maybe I AM just that good and I have no life because I'm a 40+ year old virgin living in mom's basement?

Online is full of hypocrisies no matter where you turn, just fuck shit up, making money, work out, laugh at the trolls, and most of all, don't give a crap when someone's butt hurt.

If anyone still remembers the maniac Asaba23 who was on top of the SC4 leaderboards and refused to fight anyone besides his multiple account... He called me a booster and secretly ran around under fake GT's to try and beat me, always playing the same with Algol. So I made Youtube videos of his GT's rage quitting. Best rage ever!

If you ever want me to write you the biography of an Online psychopath I'll gladly do it, hahaha!! He made like 20 Youtube accounts to thumb down all my videos, all videos with the same equal amount of thumb downs, haha.
