Things you DON'T wanna see in SC6

It's an unstoppable cycle of "it's bad"-"what exactly is bad?"-"there is almost no single player content"-"and what about gameplay?"-"it's bad"-"what exactly is bad?"-......

Gameplay isn't all that matters. If it was, you could have cardboard cutouts fighting in front of a plain white background and nobody would care. It doesn't work that way though. SCV was unfinished and rushed and it showed a lack of respect for the fans of the series.

I certainly agree with this, interviews from Daishi Odashima the Director of Project Soul at the time of SCV, and thankfully now gone from Namco, indicate that a sizable part of Project Soul staff, was not fond of the direction he was taking, in the end it appears he got away with quite a bit of what he intended to change, and the game unfinished as it is, was released to market.

Odashima after release had the following statement:
"We are receiving both positive and negative comments, but we take all comments seriously. We are working on readjustments."
Next year Odashima was gone from Namco.

Statement from Namco's Masaki Hoshino:
"We’ve done a lot of research and noticed the Soul Calibur group was different to Tekken. That group like fighting against each other, whereas Soul Calibur fans really want to look at the characters and enjoy the atmosphere, and we had an overwhelming response in that direction"

Namco, we want Soulcalibur VI.

It's a good time now that both PS4 & Xbox One consoles are established, and getting upgraded hardware.
