I don't think this, i think PS4 will also have its guest characters, and maybe those will be share with PC, and that's why there will be cross between the 2, also it's not the first time that would happen, FF14, or SFV for example.

I think Sony can be OK to share a guest character from Bloodborne for example, won't be too crazy or impossible i think.

That's the reason i think Xbox was left behind, maybe it was for having the crossplay, at least for PC and PS4. Switch is almost considered as a Portable console, so that's a special case, i guess?

It's kind of hard to imagine that when Xbox One has sold over 30 million compared to Switch's >10 million, and the Xbox One X just came out which will boost sales even further. Anyways, it's more Sony being greedy and refusing to share even with Nintendo, which is why they won't crossplay with other consoles. Good thing I have a gaming PC now that can run it, because I really don't want to dig out my old PS4 I never use if I don't have to.
 
Recent rumors were also mentioning about DMC5 being a thing a will be reveal at PSX, exclusively for PS4. And then should come later on PC.

So what if Dante is the PS4 guest character?
 
That'd be funny because he was supposed to be the SCIII guest. Eh, I guess 13 years and three sequels is close enough.

The switch has been out for 8 months, Xbone came out 4 years ago

Sales trackers predict the Switch will not just outsell the Xbox One at this rate given its rate of sales in not even its full first year so far if it keeps up like this, but possibly even passing by PS4 in the long run. The Switch is just a very convenient console to have. Especially for adults who have a lot going on in their home lives and such, and not just something kids and teens can appreciate and enjoy.
The console stands as something that allows adults who have responsibilities around the home and such to still game, despite not regularly having the time to. It's the console of convenience for busy adults and parents.
ReviewTechUSA put out a great video recently really getting into this and why he appreciates the Switch's portability because of that aspect to the console.
Japanese people are taking to it a lot as well, as you've probably heard. Which is why more developers and publishers are looking into developing and porting titles to it. Some even admitted they overlooked how great of a concept the whole thing is, but are now aggressively supporting the system.

I somewhat blame PS for giving out more wacky and ridiculous outfits, fetish clothing and modern items for CaS turning the series into a joke/dress up game. The feature wouldn't stand out as much for what it is if they just gave us armor pieces that were consistently just armor or detailed clothing like they do for Dynasty warriors. Because obviously wackiness is what stands out over the default of anything, and people always abuse it. Because even if people still want CaS, I don't think they really NEED the ridiculous items in it. That could be it.

Say what you will about that Hard Gay stuff, individually they worked. The shoes in particular were a very versatile piece.
It doesn't have to be UPVC fetish gear if you use it well.

It'd be boring if it were just armor pieces. SC may take place in the past but it's not meant to be historically accurate. They value what's cool over what's true to the past.
