I hope you're being sarcastic.

Not being Sarcastic. What was probably leaked art earlier showed it. Taki is not coming back.

As for Talim's replacement, I would expect some feral character - raised by wolves or something. Think more like a wild Voldo that jumps around and rolls and hits with baton sticks. The biggest offense V did was not only cut characters, but their playstyles too.

I wouldn't say Patroklos is liked more. Rather, Leixia just failed to make any impression on audiences because she's so bland and forgettable hence why almost no one voted for her. With Patroklos, he damn well made an impression and it was a negative one. We know all about him thanks to story mode, and even after being billed as the new hero of Soulcalibur, he's still the most hated character of them all. It's telling when freaking Rock had twice the votes he got. Anyways, it's more Leixia being completely uninteresting as to why people didn't vote for her, despite the hate being much less prominent than Patroklos outside of it.

I feel like the biggest issue with Patroklos is that as a character, he's a combination of smug douchebag who then gets serious.
That's good for a supporting character, as you can do some fun things with that. But that's bad for a main protagonist in a game like this series since the story highlights and plot follows them so much that there's disconnect that happens when you do that.

Oh, and then subtle incest thing at the end. But hey, he is Greek after all. lmao

Wow.

I already pointed out that Natsu is using a completely different style (well, three of them) and Vergeben said that the devs probably realized Natsu's backlash and wanted to salvage her character, likely by removing her "replacement" status. As Darkmoonlight said about Talim, after Taki placing second in the popularity poll, her being the first to have her own dedicated month on Facebook, and her getting her own statue, not having Taki in the game would be fanbase suicide.

The only characters who are likely to come back are the ones who were turned into mimic characters to begin with - Kilik and "Elysium" and possibly the ones connected to them - in this case Xiangua. Though, if Elysium does come back, don't expect her to be all in one piece with the same personality. As for playstyles not being consistent, Ivy players change a lot more often than Natsu did from Taki.

Talim won the popularity poll, not including her or a replacement just like her is literally fanbase suicide

Setsuka matters way more than Taki & Talim.

If they made Natsu a more serious, yet interesting character, I wouldn't be too bummed about Taki missing this one too. I've already given up on getting SCII "Posession cancel literally everything" Taki anyway.

Like I said before, I don't even care that SCV replaced fan favorites, I care that the replacements were shit. See Tekken 3 or Garou for a game that succeeds its roster properly.

@Vergeben I see you.

They are either going to do a full reboot based on how much damage "V" did, or they are going to continue going forward in time. If forward, then the following characters are gone: Talim, Taki, Setsuka. If they are going to re-boot everything, then good luck still - that will likely require a massive budget to re-tell everything once more - and we all know big a budget the soul calibur games get...

Talim players will get a proper replacement instead of nothing. Taki players get more Natsu.

I'm going to remember this when Talim and Taki returns in SCVI, believe me.
