Is there any info on what kind of modes are in the game? I mean, there's the obvious story, arcade, versus, online, and CAS that I'd expect, but anything else? I hope Museum comes back because I really felt its absence from SCV.
 
Given what one source was telling me (shortly before I scared the piss outta him because I thought he was a fake though he was apparently legit and merely just super annoying to talk to), he didn't really know anything about game mechanics etc. Just stuff related to some of the characters.

Thank you for t his. I guess we're awaiting to see if Vergeban will verify or even add to these "confirmations".
The one male veteran and female veteran character I heard about that were both introduced on different games and both were also on Soul Calibur V that I never revealed = Siegfried and Tira.

Zasalamel is a character I haven't outright heard is definitely coming back, but that it's "very likely" that he returns was what was told to me in regards to him. So adding that with what Hayate heard speaks well to his chances of returning.

I hope CaS is intact and as in depth as V's was. It's the one aspect we've heard 0 about.
Hopefully with some enhancements... the voice modifiers, for example, were really bad! Wanted the voice to sound a bit deeper? Bam, robot voice.

Also they need to add new options to the face: either sliders to modify different parts (e.g. wider eyes and smaller nose), or select the parts separately (e.g. face 1 with nose 6 with eyes 3).

And a more costly wish: the VA should be a bit more talkative (3 sentences isn't enough) and with different comments according their good/bad alignement, as in SCIII.

Yeah, I've been wanting a revamped CAS for a long time.

SCIVs voice pitching was much better, but you could get good results in V if you fiddled enough.

I suppose I do forget some of the limitations of SCV CaS given I used to hex edit most of mine. It was unnecessarily restricted in a lot of ways, really.

If a PC version of VI does exist, it'll be hard to decide between the ability to save edit on PC and PS4's likely larger playerbase. :/

Same, I used canon chararacters' voices for my creations xD

But the voice sliders were really annoying because you HAD to spend a lot of time trying to find the right pitch and tone even if it was light years away from what you wanted... same for the malfested option, it sounded more like that snapchat "alien" voice filter than malfestation...

Oh, I forgot about that malfestation setting... I never once used it.

SCV CaS had the potential to have more slots that SCIII did. I hope this time around they'll give us an "Advanced Options" were we might actually equip different upper and lower arm sections for example, as you were able to do with save editing. Why not give us everything the system is capable of?
 
Four main requests out of CaS for me:
- Fully customizable faces like in Black Desert or WWE
- Ability to choose which pieces of armor are broken from an armor crush and which stay no matter what
- Separate sections for upper and lower arms/legs, as well as asymmetry (choose one for right arm, another for left) like in Tekken 6
- Put in tons of generic hair and character hair and/or Tekken 6 or Tag 2's hair creation system
 
I created a Prince Arthas Menethil with a CaS voice and Patty's face through hexing. Such a simple combination goes a long way when it comes to diversity in these long years of SCV, but I understand the publisher's reasons for locking this kind of options.

That being said, I would love to have fully customizable faces like in those games (... Or in Fallout 4, but maybe I am being too ambitious). I can't but wonder, does that option prolong load times in WWE and Black Dessert? I doubt PS would include it, if that's the case.
 
Every time I make it to the last post, I go a little crazier. I am way too excited. Reading these comments are the only way I can stay calm.


... anyway, I can't wait to spend hours making each individual costume for my main. Despite the limitations, my friend and I managed to make some pretty cool stuff on SoulCalibur V.
 
What if Cervantes changed his weapon like this? I think he may look more unique with anchor than with swords.

Motochika's style and weapon would be too goofy for Cervantes -^^

Edit: BUT that would be perfect for one of his crewmembers, in order to get a new character!
I am not said that he should use Motochika's style. It's SC game not sengoku basara.
