I'll make you submit!
Seems to be so, therefore we can assume that the weapons and outfits will have stats again.Standard/Special battle type like in SC4?

Weapons hopefully, not outfits though. That was easily the worst part about SoulCalibur IV's creation system.Seems to be so, therefore we can assume that the weapons and outfits will have stats again.
There are 8 symbols on the final picture probably modes so lets take a stab at what the modes it has so: online, battle, options, CaS, Story, and I'm out of ideas
This depresses me, because you're probably right, unless all the cool extra modes are in Single Player (wishful thinking).

It's not too far-fetched to think single player could include modes like Arcade, Survival and Weapon Master Mode. I do think (sadly) that a deep, RPG-lite mode is exceedingly unlikely. This depresses me, because you're probably right, unless all the cool extra modes are in Single Player (wishful thinking).
There could be a couple sub-menus within certain categories, though. To my knowledge, that's always been a thing in the series. This depresses me, because you're probably right, unless all the cool extra modes are in Single Player (wishful thinking).
Allow me to illustrate it better.Edit: The crown might be museum, rather than shop. Shop could be folded into the customization option. But then again, either of those could be grouped under the single player umbrella.

I think simple and plain is what they're going for tbh. With the icons and font, the slightly translucent black boxes with white text remind me of SkyUI, the mod that overhauled Skyrim's UI on PC. As far as menus go, it was the most calming and unobtrusive thing possible and really made navigating menus easy and pleasant. I predict the same will be for SC if they keep this particular theme.I love the theme! It's the all black and white menus that look a little off and the font looks boring and uninteresting. The character select screen imagery and such and the HUD is beautiful.
Maybe because Soul Calibur will make its first appearence now, so it would make sense for it to be "hidden".It is less "soul calibur" themed compared to the prior versions (had soul embrace (SC2) , soul calibur (SC4) , or astral chaos (SC5) in the background).
I however, like the serenity of this. It looks better than the books of SC3. Right now you get the vibe of a treasure map and the sense of exploration.
Plus we get a giant ship so a certain pirate may be hinted at returning
Training could end up falling on Single Player, however.I think the bow and arrows are training mode (the logic being you're practicing your aim).
