SC Controversial Topics and General Shitposting Thread

Somehow I think the licensing for Geralt might prove difficult. I had hoped for someone from Game of Thrones personally, but that would be even worse licensing-wise.

Sadly a Game of Thrones character wouldn't have anything distinguishing to make being a guest noteworthy.
 
Idk, if we're not getting Amy (seeming more likely that this is the case by the minute)...Arya could really give us something unique. I'd love it.
 
Looks like their hint of, “if Amy’s going to be in, she’ll probably be more like Viola,” would imply that she will be included, but not as a fencer.

And I don’t know about GoT people. Seems like that’d be an awkward crossover to make, though the Star Wars characters were also quite a stretch.

Anyway, I hope that the Evo Japan build/reveals are enough info to tide me over for a while. I’m growing increasingly anxious waiting for this game so I can online scrub it up 24/7.

I just hate the idea that they would skip over Amy entirely in favor of Viola. Amy is a pretty vital part of Raphael's story, as Amy, not as Viola. There is a mystery gap that we didn't get the answer to, what she did while Raphael was missing, the events that led her to become Viola, and if she ever regained her memories and reunited with Raphael after Inferno moved on to Pyrrha, but that carries almost no weight if it's retconned that she was never Amy in the first place. You can't really handwave it either and say she used the crystal ball and claw weapon as Amy, because it was the crystal ball that stole Amy's identity and had her become Viola in the first place. I just can't see them making it work.
 
I am not too invested in her story, but maybe we’ll get a little exposition on how she found/was influenced by the crystal ball, and the splitting from Raph. Maybe she was like, “eewwww old guy, get away,” and then she voluntarily ran away from him. Or maybe it was an involuntary thing. Who knows.

Also for the love of god let people air control in her combos.
 
If Amy doesn't help Raphael recover from his battle with Nightmare in the events from SoulCalibur II, then either he dies or someone else helps him recover and gets tainted instead. Or maybe Raphael actually does become the new Nightmare for SoulCalibur III's story, instead of it being a reanimated set of armor by Zasalamel, so he doesn't have to wait until SoulCalibur V. I'd actually be okay with that, personally. Siegfried vs. Nightmare was getting a bit stale, which is why they went with Patroklos and Pyrrha in SoulCalibur V in the first place. Maybe Raphael can add some uniqueness to Nightmare that we haven't yet seen, for a change of pace. But then, who would be the one who takes up Soul Calibur to oppose him?
 
On another note i really hope the intro for 6 is better than the lame and cheesy SC5 Intro, Siegfried and Nightmare comparing the size of their swords?

Every other Soul intro is better.
 
I know they won’t let us down with the cinematic. Bamco did a good job with all the Tekken 7 cinematics (not counting the story behind the cinematics which is meehhhhhh...) but the quality was there.

Yeah I thought T7's story mode was disappointing. It ultimately left more questions than answers.
 
I just don't find the Mishimas interesting at all, they turned me off of Tekken for a long time, the faces of those samey looking characters on the covers did the opposite of hype me up for the series.

@Project Bokuho am I crazy or did your name come up in a donation message in Kane's stream a day or two ago? I know this is horribly off-topic but it's the shitposting thread so whatever.
