I believe that they could, and I hope that Amy/Viola gets similar treatment. Those two were the best of the new cast, so their stories not being fleshed out was criminal. That Kilik can go evil in this makes me think that perhaps Raphael may also, if Amy isn't there to help him recover, he may succumb to the darkness and Amy may make the transition to Viola in a different than originally would have way, but some explanation of that gap would be appreciated.

Kilik was affected by the evil seed rather than Soul Edge itself tho, which have more mental effects (Hilde's father and the Bird of Passage's Leader went insane)

Direct contact seems to malfest you in a more physical level, Sophitia tainting her children and everyone else stopping in time age wise, that said in the lore Sophitia/Cassandra/Talim, the holy stones Kilik carries and Soul Calibur have the power to ward off/dispel evil energy, so maybe Kilik and Edgy McSoul are under the effect of the evil seed, while Raph was not.
 
So I'm wondering, does this mean that Kilik is going to have two character slots, or is he gonna have like a quasi-stance change ability where he goes from good Kilik to evil Kilik. On another note, even though I'm kind of meh on the supers in general, I have to say I'm liking how dynamic they're all turning out to be. Nightmares is just perfect but Kilik's is really kind of bland. Evil Kilik's is pretty cool though if that indeed is his super.
 
Any body else noticed in the trailer that there new (REVERSEL EDGE MACHANIC) wasn't used so see how these characters would interact with each other?

Honestly for the best, we should see more unique functions of characters shown instead of RE which will likely just be the same structure for everyone.

Great prediction, I'm hoping for an evil nonvampiric Raphael as well, potentially.
 
2m18s in the trailer, looks like Kilik gets a CH after GI with the 46 B stun? Maybe the GI animation when they stagger back is a JI GI and you get a CH (like Red GI without the colour).
 
I wouldn't be too surprised if they gave Grøh a lot of Pat's moves, there's zero chance of Pat's style making it into the game so they might as well put his more unique stuff on someone else.

Edit: AAAND luckily Nightmare isn't voice by Klausmeyer this time!
