Damn I wish we'd known, we were just at Rochester on Saturday. The turnout for their tourney was pretty small, only 10 people. But let them know to come here and post up in the Buffalo thread, that's where we all are right now. Got a good group of about 5-6 people here.

Congrats to all the placers.

Great talking to the players, I didn't get most of your names. I wanted to stick around for casuals but I had to go after it was all over.

I still have a lot of improving to do I was helpless vs Hilde. But in general I need to improve my character knowledge and continue hammering out the basic skills like stepping, throw escapes, GI etc...

But I did learn something important. Now I understand how to beat Hilde just don't make mistakes it's so simple.

Rigel im sorry. your post was mean. made me be mean ;(. Hackers good, im not taking anything away from him & iirc you've done well the few times you've stopped by here. and i said what i said about Kowtow cuz he's done that before.

(borrowing a line a la george costanza from seinfeld) 'with an unblemished record of staunch heterosexuality', i can honestly say i have nothing but <3 for everyone in the community, yes even the real warble. i would hope that people already had that perception of me over time whether youve heard of my name or not. nobody enjoys having all you scrubs over after ALL of our tourney more than me, except when phil gets too loud at my place (lulz). and in the future i will never hesitate to invite all of you guys over cuz i/we always have a blast.

lol none were. I signed up as Warble, and every one else knew it was pro so they copied me.

what button? When I left it at tims, everything worked, if he broke it I didn't know, since i never use it. Ill have to fix it and keep it at my house.

I gotta see vids of KDZ's run through the tourney with Maxi.....so that's why you were trying to call me on Sunday KDZ. Well good job but you know me.....i'm gonna watch those vids and nitpick every mistake people made against Maxi, find every kick that wasn't ducked, every move that wasn't punished etc. I know a shitload of people in this community still don't know how to fight Maxi and it's a shame really.

Kryazyie: Can't you be glad your character won a tourney, lol. I know Maxi is unsafe but this is SoulCal4, any given tourney, everyone is a threat to win it.

I don't agree with your last statement there....it depends on the tourney and who's there whether Maxi has a chance or not. I know damn well KDZ ain't runnin through a Jersey monthly or a major like NEC with Maxi, unless he doesn't plan on winning.

Maybe but lack of character knowledge still runs very prevalent. People might say Oof had no business winning a tourney with Yoda yet he did. Soul Cal4 isn't like Marvel where if you don't use top tier (What is that like, 8 or 9 characters?) you are done. Yea Maxi is generally considered to have a tougher time winning than say Hilde or Amy but he can win. Yea his moves may this or this many frames on block and sure you can be punished with A,B or C but this is also a Namco game. Stupid stuff happens and sometimes you just have to roll with it, aka play the game.
