Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

Lisa has a white hairstyle option. Its reminiscent of Storm from X-Men. But honestly, I think it's to troll people who asked for Vanessa.

Its not that surprising the VF characters look better in this than in VF. The last one was made years ago and only just recently got a port. VF6 should fix that.

If it ever happens.

It should, right?

Anyone know if Tina has a brunette option?

A bit sad there isn't any more VF characters Wolf and Dural or hell Honey from Fighting Vipers would have been cool, I do maintain that the shitty VA and SFX are part of the charm. Kiriyu would have been awesome OR even Ryo Hazuki. In story mode. Asking people where do sailors hang out.

BRB cold shower needed.

Darn. You figured me out already, have you?

I'm sorry but I don't really like Honoka. Mainly because I'm tired of seeing anime school girls and the whole "moe" trend that's been going on lately but uh, that's my own personal issue so yeah. I would have probably been more interested if they gave her, her own original moveset rather than being a copycat with one or two moves/stances of her own.

I mean, Nyotengu isn't something entirely special but at least she was different lol. And Marie Rose is well, I like her because she represents the Lolita style. Her age thing may creep me out (18.. Yeah sure) but Honoka is just bleh to me. Hopefully the next new fighter is more interesting.

And I agree with someone else, I think they should've just worked on Dead or Alive 6. I'm getting tired of port after port. It's like DOA is going the Street Fighter way with all the spin-offs/ports the fourth game got.

DOA has BEEN like that though. DOA4 was like the only that didn't get an updated version, unless you count DOAD for 3DS since they're basically the same mechanics wise. Oh, as for the person who made that comment, they seem to not understand the realities of how running a business works. Its not as simple as give people what they want, otherwise there would be no need for people who specialize in marketing.

i don't get what's so hard to understand about an older girl looking really young. There is such a thing. I can believe Marie Rose as being 18. i mean, the height alone kinda makes up for that since she's as tall as all the other 18+ females in the cast. she has a babyface, so what? millions of people do. There's a girl that i know that is much older than she looks. back in high school everyone that she was a super genius that skipped through grades and went from elementary school to high school. Seen Toradora? yeah it's an anime but the teenage girl that still has the body of someone 10 years younger is nothing new.

now the debate with Honoka's age (not really a debate cause the devs have said how old she is) is fine. she's technically 16. I'm fine with it. I don't mind Honoka's character design at all. we had two 16 year olds in DOA4 (Kokoro and Eliot [can't remember how old Ayane was supposed to be]) and in DOA5 we didn't have any up until this point. There's always the young fighter in fighting games. you got Eileen in VF, the various highschool girls in Tekken, Yuri and Athena in KoF, Leixia and Xiba in Soul Calibur, etc. so why is it that we have one 16 year old in DoA and people flip their shit? and it's DoA5. it wasn't even an issue of a topic in DOA4.

The thing that bothers me with Honoka is her movelist rather than her character design. I'm not saying it's bad though. it looks fun to play, none-the-less. but it's just that she's the second copy and paste type character after Raidou.

So besides character talk, what do you guys think of the power launcher, imo the launch is too awkward to combo properly afterwards,i think that the power blow mechanic is worth losing the rage over, but not the power launcher.

It's mainly because of the pedophilia feelings surrounding it considering the game is centered around sex. I mean, you can zoom the camera anywhere on the character when you finish a match. I know it's probably cultural differences with age/consent but it's still an uncomfortable feeling for some people.

Like I said, from a design choice, it's going to come down to general taste/niche. I'm just tired of anime school girls, hence why her design doesn't appeal to me at all but I do acknowledge that these types of designs are a big popular subject in anime centered games/shows so she's made for those people who love them.

But yeah, like I mentioned, I would have liked her a little more if she had her own original fighting style. There are still a few fighting styles left they can use. But whatever, I'm just waiting for the next new character. Hopefully, he or she will be more interesting.

And I realize that overproduction of the same game is business marketing. Square Enix has made this abundantly clear with their Kingdom Hearts title. I mean, 8 years of waiting for a Kingdom Hearts 3 and during the wait, nothing but spinoff after spinoff. Yeah, I understand how the business criteria works.

So in the end of the day Ein was not good in DOAU5 like I said in the past. He lost too much and didn´t gain enough. Here is hope that he got good again and more than the "new" 1P. Better frames from a blocked 46K and a faster 4K... That´s all I NEED!

I want to play as good as I was in DOA4 even if I did NOT LIKE that game.

Don´t mind the quality, it´s all about the skill! xD
