Soul Calibur 6 Discussion

I'm still keeping faith that maybe we'll see a Soul Calibur 6 announcement either at the end of the year or the start of 2018. Here's to hoping anyway lol
 
I still wonder to this day, will there EVER, be something good for SC in the future? Because from what I've read here, it pretty much looks like there might not even be a future for the series, I'm just very indecisive on whether or not the series will have a savior.
 
I can wait whatever how much for SC6 as soon as they won't blew it like they did with T7.

I want a new Soul Calibur, SOUL F*cking CALIBUR i mean, not a lot of random silly mish mash ideas put in together in one game.

So does everyone else. But really though, there isn’t much we can do about it until Namco shows the world something that it’s at least in development, especially since those dumb “leaks” have not even been helpful in the slightest.

Beside the gameplay, everything else in this game is bad, Main Story is whatever (except the final battle between Hei and Kaz), New characters have uninspired and lazy story backgrounds (for example: they basically gave Katarina the same Story as Christie in Tekken 4, seriously?), Characters episodes are too dumb and lazy, expect very few exceptions like Miguel's, nonexistent interactions between characters in the Story, limited to only Mishimas, Nina and other few exceptions, MKX and SFV did a better job in that matter. Worse Netcode ever, with a huge lack of Online features that should be basics nowadays (no FT options in Rooms, no replays, ect). Some great alt costumes in the customization mode, but also waaaaay too many dumb stuffs in this mode as well, also another con about this is that with this system you'll mostly see characters with only their defaults in tournaments settings.

Also personally for me the game felt old, it has been in Arcade since 2014 which as well personally killed most of my interest and hype for the game, i followed it (Obviously as a Tekken fan, and like every Tekken fan would) like super excited and all, thing that i would never have done if i knew it would take such a long time to came out on consoles (and came with this wack netcode after all this long waiting time?...hughh no comment).

For SC6 at least we know that it won't be like that, we don't know when it will be reveal, but when this game will be announce, it will be out straight for consoles, not be like a 3 years timed Arcade Exclusive game as Tekken 7. And when the game will be out, it will be available for everyone.

PS: And Harada better keep his nonsense silly ideas out of Soul Calibur (Say Hi Devil Jin in SCV). He turned Tekken into a Clown show, let Soul Calibur stay as Soul Calibur for god's sake.

I was considering quoting myself a while ago... Who knew it would've been this long?
Still stands though, it needs to have had enough time in the oven. Could be that, even after all this waiting, they only just started work on it this year and it disappoints.

I'm not sure about this leak. It's making a lot of claims, and a couple of them involve Capcom giving away free characters.
As ever, we'll just have to wait and see... for the last show of the year.

lol who plays fighting games for the story? also character interactions from what can gather have been the same as they were since tekken 1...nonexistent.
the netcode is pretty good, so long as you're wired, don't play transatlantic connection with people who have 3 bars or lower, play on PC version.
Not really sure what online features you want mate, I mean you get online for 2 things, to beat people up and to get beat up yourself, difference being you can be casually matched up with people in quick match, make an 8-man lobby, run a tourney with specific rules, rank up etc, what more could you ask for? unless you want Tekken sims?
as for replays, sure taking that away was kinda dumb, but wait consoles and devices today have an integrated function that lets you RECORD and save your own clips, so this is a non-issue at this point.

well the games has gone through several chances since 2014, unless you went to japan/korea and continuously played it, I'm not sure how it could old since watching a game and playing it first hand are 2 different experiences.

c'mon bro are you taking Devil Jin in SCV seriously?
