this is a recent behaviour, as discussed in this thread in this very forum. i'm making a new thread title because this isn't really about myspace :P

this only occurs at 8wr in my experience, and happens at least once a day for a few days now.

could it be bad advertisements gone amok?

I don't know, but I've experienced this as well.
I thought my browser (firefox) was pretty good about this kind of thing..
I don't think it happens on any other sites I go to..

Hey... what's with this new advertising crap? Are you hard-up for money Jaxel? Everytime I mouse over a common word, I get a cute little pop-up. I would hope premium members aren't getting this.

lol ive seen that on a lot of other forums. Not here yet tho.

There are ZERO ads for premium members. Non-premium members will get 8 common words tagged per page, and 1 popup every 6 hours.

One of the popups gave my work computer one of those FakeAlert viruses. So eh...yeah, I don't mind the ads, but if they're gonna fuck up my work day, that's not so great. I was checking the boards on a break to see if we were going to get up and play SC.

i remeber when i gt one of those ages ago when i didnt know anything about computers. I tried to close it then it took me to the my computer place and started doing stuff so i freaked out and close my comp lol.
