btw, i know you like the 2nd one did you watch the third slideshow (tale of souls and swords) ?

i was kinda hoping to get more than a few comments on this one, which is a summary of the best in-game pics i ever took, some old, some new...well, i gonna have to wait a bit more...
also expecting Le Bello's 4+ reviews ;o)
 
I watched the second slideshow! Dat music~~~
The pictures were nice, but I couldn't see any new ones? Perhaps I'm blind, or tired, or both? Either way, I didn't get a sense of story, though why I imagined there would be one is anyone's guess.

It's a nice way of presenting your characters, though may I be so bold as to suggest smaller slideshow "sets"? These would contain characters thematically linked to one another, Aliens, Insects, Robots, Pirates etc, with appropriate musics in the background? Just a thought.

By the way, if you haven't seen ThePascuzzi's Distant Worlds contest, then you really should go have a look. In fact, you should enter one of you designs into it. Since you've already got her... =|;}D

No story in particular, just cool in-game pics and cool music

I get your point, though this one was a world of CAS, so it had to be the full collection (almost)

i am not so much into contests, and i don't feel like posting my Alien Hooker all over the place...one win was enough for me, really...but distant worlds i am working on, and i might make a thematic slideshow about it, even though people are all about fast-picture food, which is sad in a way ;o(

Distant Worlds has nothing to do with your alien hooker. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

But hey, a lot of views are good (I watched it twice) and whilst many people aren't commenting, some people still are, which is always nice. As long as you're doing it for you, and not for comments, then no fret eh?

sometimes i wonder who i am doing all this unpaid hard work for...my pleasure, viewers' pleasure, Lil Vil's pleasure, or because (just like Matty, Gatsu, Chobek or rdmunhoz) i am an addict ;o)
I don't put all my free time into it though (Matty admitted doing so in his thread, *wink*)

About the comments, well, i take the time to comment in other's thread sometimes, so i am kinda expecting the same courtesy, that is all...but that is not a big deal, and i have my faithful followers (and thou art one of the dearest, along with a few others ;o)

what entry are you talking about then ? then i can give it a go...
 
new slideshow...

I like the music a lot it is very evocative and I think you chose some epic stills to push the viewer through ... between the swells in the music and the choices you made (especially some of the zoomed in face shots at the end ) it gives the feeling of constantly staying at the point just before the shit goes down.

If I had anything negative to say it would be that you loose something a little with the slideshow format because the pictures change at regular intervals and when you pause or back up the music continues without the images .... I don't know what is possible with that slideshow service but I think if you were going to take your slideshows to the next level the beats of the music would be tied in with transitions and specific images ... Maybe some images could be paused on for focus and other flipped through for intensity.
That isn't so much a statement about what you have now ... but what would be cool if possible for the future. However ...

What you have now is beautiful. That is a very nice way to showcase your work. I also like that you end on a drawing as your last shot. I always like seeing your drawings:)

i agree, but if you don't pause, in fact you shouldn't ;o) (and never go full screen it seems to ruin the whole pan and zoom thing), in that case, the music is very well timed with the shots...

Thanks for your comments, i will probably streamline the slideshow a bit so it isn't too long, but its the whole CAS compendium, so it takes time ;o) I will come with new drawings sometime...
