Le Bello wanted to ask - Vil, have you downloaded Compatibility Pack 2? I notice my Mantis is missing his greaves in your video. If you get CP2, you should be able to see it without owning the DLC.

It makes Le Bello wonder what other details were missing...

i will definitely download that ! apart from the greaves, which i did not know where missing, i did not notice anything else...

Okay, here is a last batch of insectoid CAS, including my Voldo P5, Red Ant Warrior.
After doing all three of them, and Alien Space Marine, I feel I have reached a climax.

What I mean is that I do not feel like going back to humanoïd CAS, it is as simple as that, I went this journey on my own, and looking at my production and some other’s, I think it is time to go back to real life, and real gaming.

Playing all those fights against Le Bello made me realize there is no point of creating CAS if not for the pleasure of seeing them in motion, or watching my kids giggle at the sight of a nice replay.

It takes so much time it borders on addiction, and while I sincerely enjoy your support and comments (I just got a funny “250 likes” trophy), I need to move on.
Moving on does not mean leaving this community, because it has given me so much, and the production value is higher than anywhere else.
It just means putting a hold on posting pics and vids.

If you wish, as I do, not to see this thread die, know that I will still follow it, and I encourage you to ask anything you’d like, or comment away on this post & last CAS and pics, or any of the earlier ones...

Should you want it, sharing a formula or two of your choice would be my last effort, as a gift for your attention and constructive criticism.
I have already written what i’d like in return ;o)…

It's a shame that we won't be getting such regular updates, but it's only understandable.
I hope you continue to make characters every now and then, and occasionally share them here.

As for the latest CaS... Well, I love the red ant! It completes the trio perfectly.
Not sure about Raphael's style for an insect though. I think Yoshimitsu, Aeon, Natsu or Viola would be better suited.

I concur - I think Raphael suits The Wasp perfectly, being all about precise jabs and stings. But heyo to the hizzo.

It's a shame that such an inspirational force will stop producing new material, but in another way it's also a good thing. You've already cemented yourself as one of the best CaS Makers in the community, and Le Bello is proud to have shared those, and hopefully many more battles to come!

I'll still be reviewing ALL your works, so in a sense this just made Le Bello's life a little easier too =|;}D and Le Bello is glad you'll be sticking around in the community, I'd be heartbroken if you left completely.

Best of luck in your endeavours, what lies next for Vilarcane? I know you said you'd focus on real gaming, and if that means improving your abilities on SCV, then I'm all for it! And if it means moving on to other games, then Le Bello is even more for that. Because if you got any better Le Bello would be doomed.

I will certainly do Aeon and Yoshi alternates as you suggest (the flag somehow distracts me though, who ever saw a Wasp with a flag on her back ;o).
The Mantis with the wooden textured stick is supposed to refer to the mantis grabbing on a stick, precisely, and also because it has some long stick-like "arms" to attack with in the first place.

I won't be leaving completely (this answer proves it), i just quit creating and posting for now.
But a good way not to let this thread die completely is for you to come up with content on it :

I took hours to post videos of our fights in HD glory (and not always mine ;o), so don't think you can run away from your eagerly awaited full roster review in full TechniBelloColor...i would be sad if you did not finish your work and published it really (it would be a huge letdown for me, as it could kinda conclude this thread perfectly)

As for your questions, i have family, work, and about gaming, lucky you, i won't be refining my SC5 combos, i a moving on to things like The Witcher 2 (already started), and looking forward to Ghost Recon Future Soldier end of May...
Of course, i will be pleased to have a few rounds with you or Dreadnaught if you are online, and i will probably pick my other savegame for you so you can see the likes of Harley Quinn, Hit Girl, Adam Jensen, and older designs not present on the cloud save.

All in all i have produced about 85 CAS (including a few alternates), and probably several hundreds pics (and 20+ vids).

I compliment only the things that I feel meet my standard. Your CaS and fighting skills surpassed those!

I do hate work sometimes, and you've seen the bizarre hours I end up doing, so Le Bello completely understands. I hope the family are well, which reminds me, how old IS Little Vil anyway?

And I'd love to slap Jenkin's smug cyberface any day of the week! As it happens, Le Bello is grinding to get to max level, so that then I can have 150 CaS slots. (The new thumbnails were leaked a while ago and Le Bello is more than inspired).

And worry not, I'm still writing those reviews. It can be hard to have such a silky way with words~
 
Little Vil is 7, plays Halo Wars, Forza 4 like a pro, and knows all Lego games in and out (playing with the mother).
Is also a ferocious contender at Soul Calibur 5, although spamming a bit too much.
With the new spammer friendly speed and juggles, he might to beat any of us out of pure luck.

Oh...so I AM gonna get my review all wrapped in an envelope of silky words *chuckles and giggles* !

See you soon for some friendly fights with the CAS you still haven't seen in action (about 1/3 of them at least)

And yes! I shall be excited to show you some of my new CaS too. They're very... Thematic.
 
Yes, upon seeing Alpha Patroklos i wondered, where the hell did he stash his sword and shield ;o)
This was surely meant to confuse me, but my edge master got you totally disoriented as well (noticed he started with patroklos style, or maybe pyrhaa omega, but looked like the weapons you should have had :o)

You Edge Master Pirate is one of Le Bello's favourite 3P's! I was going to ask if you planned on using Cerv's hat on it next month, but then Le Bello remembered...

And I toyed with the idea of giving the four of them moustaches, but none would match the beauty of Le Bello's own!
 
using the longest set of horns (used on my nightmare), you can do a very good replica of Le Bello's mustache, believe me ;o)
 
Wow you have been busy ;) So many great characters and so much varity, Your recreations such as Krato the Joker etc are supurb and faithfully recreated as well as your interpretations and original characters. Your work certainly has re-energized my creative juices. My only realy critisim is that a couple of your characters may have one or two too many patterns but thats just for my taste otherwise I'm most impressed

Thanks, really means a lot coming from you. It is nice to hear you can bring inspiration to the likes of you and all the other talented creators out there. I think i went my own personal way, over a pretty wide spectrum, and it was fun.
What we have all brought together should be put together in a nice DLC, with all the money going to supporting this site and community, but i doubt this would happen anytime soon.

Teaching Le Bello a lesson or two with them is just the icing on the cake, i could hear his moustache rise and his bones chill at the sound of my wasp during our very first fight ;o)

Mine is still the Mantis, but on each one, sure you noticed i had a very anatomically realistic approach on the head, playing on eye and antenna positioning and size, as well as gradient pattern and colors, eye patterns...all different (and adding mandibles for the ant, because it looked good with teeth on the other two, not on this one).
And i used 2 balls (no pun intended) for my Mantis of course (globulous eyes).

If i had the chance to put a hat over the mantis head (look at my last picture of Xiba Mantis), i could have done a pretty decent Raaaaaangooooo, adjusting patterns on each eye to make him look sideways ;o)

I love Rango, don't you, the most artistically impressive CGI movie i have seen in ages ! i know, off topic, but i am retired ;o)
