Oh I know, I just oft times am weary against Yoshi players. He can be played a lot of ways.

Brundlemitsu is a frightening thing to behold! You heard it hear first fine chaps and chapettes!

A lot of fun facing off against Team Insect with their new styles, though I must admit I much prefer them with Voldo, bar Brindle Fly. It suits them better and adds to the creepyness - Waspael looked more a superhero than anything else, and it lost a lot of appeal.

The Predators were perfect though. Relentlessly awesome-ing their way through some intense, and less intense fights.

Arnie was good too, and the comedic hit-effects took me by surprise and made me lose my game a bit, but I think I coped well after that.

All in all another batch of brutally fun fights. Those ringouts with my Panda Monk, and then the Chimera afterwards were a lot of fun. =|;}D

Yeah i noticed, but i also knew you would probably prevail in the end...but a very close fight that was.​
I think the more one of my CAS creeps you out, the more combos you forget...​

I was like WTF, fourth RO in a row or something...i felt so humiliated i had to return the favour tenfolds with my insect squad, hehehe ;o)

Oh, and I must apologize deeply for relentlessly destroying your nice colourful Dampierre outfits...he was fighting in underwear half of the fights, i felt sad for him...dohohooo, but you still own with him...​
so i kept my distance with my Space Marine, and made it more challenging for me on our last Siegfried fight (took him because you like his cool)

Orange looks more alive! Certainly disturbing. I wish never to go on XBL again!

It was effective, but I still feel it diminished the soul (no pun) of the character. And yes it was irritatingly effective~!

You shouldn't be so proud of that - I don't even like Asta's style that much, it just suited my character! Alas though I did forget some combos and let a few golden moments past. Though I didn't waste that JG for a second, no sir.

It was fun, ringing you out so much, especially as the Panda character is a joke character to the highest of levels! Made it more worthwhile! Le Bello hopes you like the thumbnail for him too.

It's cool, I'm not so keen on Damp's 2P in this game. His BD one was much, MUCH cooler. And when we're able (if ever) to edit Dampierre, you bet I'll be putting him in the best outfits you've never seen! For now I'll settle on making his gang.
And fighting Launcelot (<3) was somehow easier than the Space Marine? Maybe it was the practice, who knows? Either way you're very mean with them.

Oh sorry i forgot to mention that, I loved the Panda thumbnail (peeking into the picture, like my ewok thumbnail if you remember), very nicely done.
And you caught me off guard with your fluffy panda too, ok, lag at the beginning was just not in my favour, but losing to a Panda in a Predator suit did not do any good to my manhood ;o)

This is undoubtedly one of my favourites, i figure panda is included in the Tekken DLC (cuz i don't have it), but thank god i downloaded the comp pack so i could see it in full glory.
Some kind of Kung Fu Panda lookalike, right ?
 
He's a former Warrior Monk who decided to become a travelling merchant in order to earn enough funding to open a Panda Sanctuary. His name is a Chinese pun which means something along lines of "Wealth, Luck and Richness" or something (Le Bello forgets) which happens to sound like Carp, Lotus and Swimming, or something. Hence his coat detailing.

And beating that alien's bitch-ass down with him was GLORIOUS.

Thanks, of course feel free to copy it and improve on it as much as you'd like, there are areas like the groin (;o) where i feel things there is room for improvement anyways, but i am pretty happy with thre rest, and good effect on target Le Bello...;o)

Aha, I remember the Space Marine. So shiny and pretty.

Alright, on to the new(er) stuff.

Adam Jensen is stellar. Much like Draco's there's not much wrong with it and I like the use of the Sun sticker on the arms.

And you've got yourself and army of bugs. I'm keeping the extra large can of Raid nearby just incase they get unruly. It's a shame neither Sieg nor Nightmare have a "Giant Rolled up Newspaper" joke weapon because that would be perfect.

The insects are fantastic, great use of extra objects and stickers (is that an Eye sticker? very nice) to give them an insecty (now a word) feel. Out of all of them the Mantis is probably my favourite mainly because it's the most colourful. Infact that leads me on to my one criticism of these guys, the colouring, specifically the black. It's a purely subjective thing (like most CAS things are) but pitch black-while it can be effective- can usually be swapped out for a darker brown/green/blue/whatever instead. I can understand it for Vespula to an extent but I'm curious as to how the likes of the Ant and Brundlefly would benefit from a departure from the black. As always this is entirely at your own discretion but if you do fancy playing around that might be something to keep in mind.

Talim the Puppet causes a conflict in my noggin. On the one hand, she's got some nice and neat, innovative stuff by use of the sticker on the face and the puppet strings. She looks fantastic as a puppet, however it's the 'Talim' thing which is the sticking point, for me. There's nothing that really says to me 'this is Talim'. The concept is very original but linking it to the character in question falls flat. I get that you wanted to get as far away from the old Talim as possible but this was too much. It can still be a creepy doll version of her, maybe try using colours from her past outfits as a sign post for people so that when they look at her they get an idea that it's Talim. I'd even suggest Voldo's style since it can be seen as a dark and twisted version of her old one. Damp's is also good if you want something more comedic. Obviously none of this matters if you're happy enough with the doll on it's own merits- and it's a brilliantly executed doll by all means. I'm just saying that as a version of Talim, I don't buy it as it is. As it is, it reminds me too much of Tira.

I was wondering if we'd see a Predator with that mask. It's just a shame you can't really do anything with it in terms of patterns/textures/stickers. So for the voice, is it that weird distorted, slightly high pitched one from when he recorded the kid's voice in Pred 2? ("Want some candy?"). That would be creepy. It looks great and so does Arnie, although there should be a muddied up version of him, complete with terrifying, beady eyes and an improvised bow. At last we know what had Billy so spooked.

Your recreations in general are superb and as others have said are very faithful to the originals. Your Joker, Neytiri (I think I mentioned her in an earlier post) and the Kick Ass bunch are all very well done. Kratos is also incredibly accurate. There is a ton of great things in here, from sticker usage to object usage, much like other galleries and again- like those galleries- there's a few tips and tricks to be picked up from here. Thank you for sharing.

I'll just stand aside and let Thesaurus Rex over there finish writing his series of novels reviews.

Wow Fliptop, that is exactly the kind of post i read from you in other threads and i wondered, when am i gonna derserve that kind of wall of text full of insight and constructive criticism ;o)

Well, here it is, and i really enjoyed reading it...twice

Now let us talk technique and elaborate :

Yes the abdominal portion is a pitch black eye sticker : the bump mapping properties and the reflection white dots mimic (hehe) this part of the body (as well as joints on the arms and sometimes shoulder) quite well.
I am not saying it is anatomically perfect, but it looks pretty good in-game ;o)

So yes i used black on some of the insects, also as one of the primary colors of pattern 1...why ? because it allowed me to give the insects a grittier look and give a sufficient level of contrast, as opposed to bright and flashy green & yellows used to give them the chitinous exoskeleton colors.
There has been a lot of trial and error on the colors, and i used the pants and the rubber unitard to give an extra glossy look for the leg part, and the tree sticker did help me bring a touch of extra colour and depth to it.

So i tend not to agree with you on this, the Mantis (your favourite...and mine ;o) has no black (except for the eye "lens"), the wasp needs black for stripes and for the "nose", the red ants is definitely black and reddish IRL, and the brundle fly is black and greenish...but as you say, it is a matter of taste, and i'd rather go (for insects at least) for the creepiest most photorealistic of looks, rather than abuse flashy colors...partly because it matters a lot in-game with the realistic lighting effects.

Now onto Puppet doll, here i do agree with you 100%, not a real Talim, yet a keeper i enjoy playing with...

As for Pred, i did some minor tweaks to make him look even better, and will defintely work on the voice to see if i can use your tip for extra fun...right now, i have three versions of him with wholly different looks (mitsu, cervy and Aeon)

And hell yeah about Arnie and the mud thing, i actually thought of doing it, but slots and all, you know...with face tatoo and stickers, easily doable...

Now how is that for an answer ?

I got a C in French, though I've forgotten most of it. Sad to say the latter half of your sentence escaped me. C'est la vie.

It's certainly enjoyable in one way. In another it makes me wish I had no fingers. But then I'd miss the best of fights!

Lil Vil is adorable, and I accept his tiger-striped challenge! Though I can't imagine fighting him, he's a cute kid Vil. Has his mother's eyes and stripes.
