A tale of souls and swords, eternally retold...

ThePascuzzi, you might as well be nicknamed TheJudge. Not many people aside from Le_Bello, make detailed comments on almost everything. Seriously dude, you should take this as a compliment.
"TheJudge," huh? Haha, well, it's definitely got a nice ring to it. I'm only doing what I'd like other people to do for me, though, and it's easy to make long, exhaustive comments when the CaS are interesting and detailed. In any case, thanks, that is quite the compliment.

I have read, enjoyed, and trying to figure out the best way to reply to such a wonderful post...i certainly won't say what i agree with and not agree with, last time i did yes, but to what end ;o) ...but first i have to go to work and have those very important meetings that will decide the fate of the corporation...you know...not completely untrue actually ;o(

in the meantime, you get a big hug from Pistolero...what ? you wanted one from Lulu Belle Tira ? my mistake ;o)

Yes sir, i did, and it was great...also because this is a char that was lost with the save crash...

This one fight you lost fair and square, but this one you won easily (this is the cow-girl Leix i was talking about)

Now, i gotta work some work on that special CAS for Pascuzzi, but now it is party time ;o)

This is the special CAS i made for Judge Pascuzzi, after a great nickname given by KokoYoshi (who already has his own CAS).

A judge can be fair, on unfair, i'll comment on a particular note saying my hammer handle wasn't thin enough in proportion to the head, dear judge, i appeal and ask the judge to have the jury try to resize handle and hammer head independently ;o)

Hear ! Hear !

Quizz (for old times' sake) : the mole / face button is impossible to make with a single sticker (even per axis the size wouldn't be small enough, so how did i do it ?)

Let me know any improvement you see fit, dear Judge, and since this is your tribute CAS, i'll execute your sentence...

(even per axis the size wouldn't be small enough, so how did i do it ?)

Vilarcane, your work merits more comment than I can spare at the moment. I'm blessed with an interesting job that pays a living wage, and like most such jobs, it includes an element of unpredictability.

Regarding Costner, what is "good" for descendants of aboriginal Americans is a controversial matter. For an example of good intentions gone awry, read about the Osage Murders on wikipedia (and tell me if you don't think that story wouldn't make an awsome film itself). Kevin Costner found a field that excited him, worked hard to master his craft, and eventually enjoyed success. Millions of others have done the same, but if some kid finds his example more inspirational than the others because of shared ancestry, then yes, he's served the general good. Alas, any particular movie can show only a simpe slice of a complex subject, and the same is true of my answer in a forum. Aboriginal Americans may have received little generosity from their conquerors, but it was more than historical norms, and it continues today with such things as payments for mineral rights. Even when the money has actually reached its intended recipients through a gauntlet of corruption, historically present both in the Bureau of Indian Affairs and tribal leadership, it's difficult to conclude that it has been a net benefit to them. You mentioned that this set of CaS was personal; if that means you have a connection with the heritage of the Wild West or those were present before the cowboys, I'll be happy to share my knowledge and opinions, but I'm not sure the topic is germane to this forum. Some people in this world will take exception to the fact that I dare express such opinions when I am related to exactly 1 fewer of the hundreds of Indian tribes than they are.

GEF, thanks for the insight, and no i am not related to the Wild West in any way, but have always been interested and strangely fascinated by this period. On the other end of the scala in terms of authenticity, i loved this particular movie called Rango just because of the setting and the colorful characters...

Of course, this is more a thread for sharing on CAS creation and the "souls" on display here, but that does not mean a bit of culture is germane to this forum, i hope...at least is it authorized in my thread, it wouldn't be the first time !

And i do understand job and real life comes before online communities, so please only make comments when you feel like it and when you have time to, and if not, knowing that you understand the passion and artistic drive behind this thread and all its dwellers is more than enough satisfaction to me

Is that me wearing makeup and blush?

Oh, God.

Oh, God, why?

(review pending)

I sure am a bit curious / intrigued about how that one will read like ;o)
in between, i made the pant color darker (true black) using the 0/43/31 color trick i copyrighted back then...

all towards achieving the best "Far West" look (not saying the most authentic), meaning mostly brownish and low intensity colors, faded by the sun, and use of dedicated stickers and effects to add to that "desert town" feel.

There's more to the Wild West than desert! Most of the cowboys were in the great plains, from Texas to Montana. Further west you get mountains; the trapper and prospector are as much period-defining stereotypes as the cowboy. And don't forget about the pioneer farm families who tried to keep a bit of culture and ordered calico fabrics from catalogs to make their Sunday dresses. (Read Laura Ingalls Wilder's biography.) The "dude" from back East is another staple, maybe a lawyer for the railroad or just a card sharp hoping to scam the country bumpkins. Hate to say this, V, but I don't think you're finished yet. -GEF

so interesting - i am gonna be a wild west guru like you someday ;o

The following is probably the all-time favourite CAS bunch for 8 yo Lil Vil.

Like with my monkey squad, i was inspired by a specific CAS that made my heart beat (my thanks go to Chobek, the Janus of CAS and my favourite CAS artist along with Matty).

I proudly present Bozo, Horacio and Rigoletto !

And i add my sad Clown Tira original to the trio (Dollface)...

Design notes :
- Specific body proportions to give the appropriate goofy body proportions and fluffy clothes ie. max size of upper arm and thighs/calves, min size for arms and a good balance for the rest of the body

Using the already oversized DLC modern shoes with big calves makes for oversized clown shows without using the ball technique and using 2 special items slot

- scar sticker under both eyes to strenghten the sad look and give it more depth

- white sticker in the back (per view) to do the white center part of the frilled shirt (otherwise impossible)

- used balls to do oversized shoes on Afro Bozo (credit to Chobek)

- Horacio (Corn Nunchuk) has an apple instead of a per axis round sticker to do a true clown fake nose (true fake lol)

- the white rose was designed to shoot water at your silly face, inspired by a gimmick of Dampierre where he spits and it looks like it could come from the flower brooch

- i managed to "spank" ring-out (grab) Le Bello yesterday and win a round like a true clown ;o)))

I-Conic hat. Wow. HolyCarp might be in trouble here, ;P

I loved the clowns. They're MUCH better in motion, with all of Dampierre's flailing around, haha, though Damp doesn't spit, if you're referring to his UB, it's a sneeze ;P

I didn't notice the heart until you pointed it out, but it doesn't really add one thing or another. I think the only comment I could make it that it might be nicer if they were different colours?
