A tale of souls and swords, eternally retold...

Hmm...to be honest, I'm not too sure about Zeus's helmet. I think he'd be godlier looking without it. What were you trying to express with it?

You know, Ares is pretty good, something about the dislocation makes me think about war itself.

Poseidon is pretty cool too, trying to reflect the sea colors on him and all.

How did you do Zeus' "dress" ?

Hey, didn't think about the metaphore but yeah, it make sense, calm student of CAS.

Well, i guess you mean the details, well it is a pattern covered with a set of stickers to only leave the edge of the pattern visible, then i added the ancient glyphs sticker and a lightning sticker for good measure :)

I love the beards! Holy shit they look legit.

Thanks, and yes they are, 100% pure cattle horn white hair !
Of course, the easy way around doing the beards was to do an EMaster Zeus, but we didn't really want to have Zeus risk ending up doing Leixia / Tira / Viola's or use whatever silly random style moves right :)

I mean, it had to be either nightmare for the lightning effects or devil Jin (which is seen in the vids of the playlist and works decently with him)

I tried without a helmet, but the helmet is a good way to make the beard fit better with the face and hide where it doesn't connect properly. It makes the head bigger, adds depth, and gives the whole CAS a more balanced look (bulky all around but not too much).
It also adds cohesion to the other armor parts of the lower body...
But i am open to any suggestion or tweaks i can try of course...

The only thing i might tweak is adding some patterns on the leg armor instead of the lone sticker that looks a bit odd, and make a different sticker work on the helmet itself, even though it looks OK as it is i guess (the gray/silver sticker is here to add contrast and match with the silver hue of the beard mind you :)...

ps : did you check your inbox ?

I really enjoy surrealism. I just really think it's interesting to look at, and it's fun to draw to. I don't have a lot of art supplies but their is always an ink pen in my hand. I love how feathery you can make some lines with a regular ball point pen, it's amazing... You can actually get some pretty realistic things from a ball point pen, sometimes my teachers at school get really surprised when they see my drawings and they find out that I'm only using pen. :D

I really liked you Greek CaS, They were pretty awesome... I'm actually inspired to make an aquatic themed female CaS from your Poseidon, you used that coy fish sticker very well, I love using the scales on that sticker! Your stone work is also really nice, you should try using shades of different stones and stuff like that. You could even base a theme around the stone CaS, like they could have different elements and shit. I don't know I'm just throwing out ideas here XD Of course I know everyone's touched the fact that you can make golems with CaS mode but I don't think I've seen a whole lot out their. Also your gorgon was cool, and the stone work on this one was well done. So awesome stuff vil!

Thanks for the comments, and feel free to steal anything you'd like, it what it is all about, as you said, you learned by looking at my (and other people's) CAS, that is the point of this, not only to earn some bragging rights...i love to help a fellow artist (and i learned a thing or two from you reg. female CAS creation, *fishnets* xD !)

Surrealism, but yes, my dear, i for one am an admirer of Salvatore Dali's work, but i love everything else and did some pretty surrealistic drawings myself, as long as it tries to be legit and on the realistic side of painting/drawing...

Oh, Please do that aquatic themed female CAS already, that one i wanna see :)

I'll post pics of the CAS edits and the gorgon later on when i get a chance...

Out of galantry, i commented on the new CAS you showed me yesterday night in your thread :)

Gorgon CAS (Medusa's sisters, refer the my Athena comics 2 pages back for some greek lore) and a few edits.
I did a corrupt Nephilim and a decayed Nephilim, so i had to do the original right...
Also some alternate Zeus using Asta's style and gold weapon...
And Afro-dite, a WIP of an afro greek goddess :)

All in no specific order cuz i am in a rush...

They all look great, but Zeus is awesome.

His look seems so powerful like the father of Olympus should be.
Yeah, that was the idea glad you like them.
The good thing with nighty and Asta's styles is that many moves have blue lightning effects (also used blueish weapon trails as seen in the vids of course...)

Hermes vs Zeus.
Hermes is a ghost, a mirage, he blends in with the clouds and skies and his dark and bright blueish camo makes him invisible to all mortals both day and night...
Even mighty Zeus struggles to land a good grab on him :)

FYI, i have posted a few pics of our last online encounter with Orangeislands (her true name is Rachel, hush, hush :) in her thread...
Features a couple cool pics of her new CAS and a few alternate pics of mine as well...
humour me, go and have a look for her !

I like how you made Hermes with a synthetic angel feeling, the use of the Power feathers give the character a more rough and strong looks. The colors are interesting.

I wonder if anyone will make a Hephaestus CaS.

thx, as for Heaphaestus, this is a pretty good idea, and probably the last god with Ares i might be interested in doing.
That and maybe Charon of the Styx...
