[ARCHIVE] Raph vs the World: Matchup Thread

Any of the mods can update the first page - the problem is that there is a lot of pre-patch information still posted here, some of which applies, and some of which doesn't. Maybe it would be easiest to simply start a new thread and work from there?

What do you all think?
 
If one of you wants to head up creating the new thread with the newer data, feel free, you don't need to be a mod to do that ;-) If there is anything I can do as a mod that you think will be helpful, let me know and I'll be more than happy to do it.
 
All right im calling to arms all raph players to try and revive this thread. hopefully we can bring this up to date as well as use it for the overall character MU thread in the tactics forums. Im tired of all MUs w raph being 6-4 just cuz of raph or 7-3 cuz its a high tier vs low tier (mitsu raph is by no means 7-3). Nows our chance to show w empirical data that raph isnt low tier. ill try to start adding or updating some MU w what i learned in my own experiences hopefully this weekend provided classes haven't killed me w HW

I only liked your avatar cause it's StarFox cause I'm a Star Fox fanboy keeping it real. I try to post some MU info stuff in a few days I need to grind out in the game again.

Man i hear what ur saying. Its like with zwei the matchup chart for him is god awful (although most of them are not in his favor) matchups that are 2-8 and 1-9 for him is just too devastating so im just gonna fight high level players with zwei and challenge them all to have further matchup knowledge myself, or yet prove them wrong.
 
I remember Mitsu and Rock being favorable MUs for Raph in the past lol. Does Raph have any favorable matchups in SCV?? Ehhh...well I definitely don't agree with some of them being 7:3.
 
I will say that I've watched and faced two (2) Raphael PSN players online. I'd name the two, but I'm at no liberty to.
Even though I am by NO means a high-level SCV player, still, I see how good of players those two are with Raphael. I'd submit their vids to this SA to prove it, but it's not necessary and I won't bother to.
In spite of that, I will say that I can no longer feel any sympathy for any Raph player that quit on him because he 'sucks' or the patches nerfed him balls-hard or etc... Not even Raphael experts (...that quit on him) 'cause I'll just go, 'whatever.'

Totally!! There has been a tradition of giving Mitsu insanely tracking verticals which needs to stop.
