Bad Habits When Defending Against Pressure/Rushdown

Bad Habits When Defending Against Pressure/Rus

I have a bad habit of teching, when I shouldn't, and I don't wise up till I'm eating a launcher or an ublockable

I've learned to chill recently though.

thinking this is street fighter and trying to walk backwards to give me space

I tech too much as well.. and crouch too much.
I also freeze up when my opponent uses an unblockable.

I have the bad habit of punching my opponent in the face (Nighty) with 6K... the problem is most of the time i receive pressure, it is from damn characters that crouch every 4 seconds during their attack -,-''

My bad habit is letting go of block to fast. Even when i know another move is coming that's a natural combo i still let go of block. Every slight opening i see I'm ready to attack and get punished for it.

I parry xiangua ak move because they both are low if you parry low no matter which one she decides to do it will get impacted

I twitch duck too much. Gotta get better at throw breaking so I don't duck so much.

Trying to get rid of blocking low on twitch myself. 80% of this game's lows can be seen on reaction anyway. ><

yeah, and most of the quick ones are negative on hit. So hard to get rid of that habit though.

I've seen a lot of players who have a bad habit of ducking when I run up in their face. I used to be guilty of this too. Throw fear I guess. :/

this is probably one of the biggest flaws in my gameplay, lol. i guess its fear of throws.. but it's become muscle memory at this point and i just duck for no good reason. how'd you stop doing it?

I've had this problem too, but I'm getting much better about it. It really is all about the throw fear. Practice throw breaks - and by that I mean mash either A or B when blocking and waiting for the opponent to do something. Like after you do a move that is blocked, you're at disadvantage, and perhaps the guy is close to you now, start mashing while guarding and... well, don't duck. :)

It might be a side effect of playing on pad.

My thumb just mashes whatever's under it...

I can't tell you how many times I've been reverse RO'd in obvious situations because I mashed K instead of B or A. X_X

Though, I am getting better at attacking out of early throw break (when you do get a little advantage).

I duck too much (fear of 2K at sliver, and I suck at breaking throws).

I just got better at breaking throws and the fear was swept away. :D

Five move spam despite having memorized my character's entire movelist.

Bad Habits When Defending Against Pressure/Rus

Everything I do. My defense is one big bad online habit....but I can never play with anyone offline...

I'd like to list a bad habit I see people do alot against Yun. they love to try to GI the second hit of 6BB, which may possibly be the worst thing they can do. 6 crane transition rocks, even if it were bad on block, this makes it awesome.

It's very dynamic. The biggest thing for me is to find myself in a position where I must stand and block because I let the opponent have an opportunity to perform a mix-up/RO attempt etc with me unable to do much other than stand still, especially when there were things I could have done to avoid being in a tough position, mostly resulting from a lack of experience.
