BlazBlue - GuiltyGear's next gen cousin

Messed around with the frog after a 5cdc. Pretty much, you need to cancel into 3C as soon as you start the dash, so it looks like just a stutter into the 3C. I haven't tried it online, but my guess is that lag would make it a lot more annoying.

The easier way to remember who you can land it on imo, is just remembering who you can't land it on, aka people with annoying hitboxes, tager, noel, ragna, and jin.

Maybe I should follow this flowchart.

Granted I do Ice Board/Car often. But I use it mostly as a frame trap/punisher and in combos. Though when doing block strings, I don't mean to the B and C versions (A is safe).

dash 3C before the frog hits is character specific.

doesn't work on ragna, noel, jin
just sub Tiny Lobelia after the 5CDC ^_^

works on litchi, bang, arakune

For more info check out Soniti's Combo list on dustloop.com
very informative ish. ^_^

Every PS3 Blazblue player should see this:

Go to Network, Select Rankings, under the heading of top players. Select Kasanori and download his replay.

Holy crap.

LOL get serious. You obviously have no idea how Japanese matchup charts work. Tager is a negative number because he has such ridiculously bad matchups against prettymuch the whole cast.

For example lets say Tager goes 4-6 against the other 11 characters. This means his rank is -11. on the other hand, a character with all 5-5 matchups and one 7-3 advantage matchup would be +2 etc

And in the original tier listing he was almost -20 which made absolutely no sense. Stop quoting me i wasnt even talking to you.

====== DOUBLE POST AUTO-MERGE ======
Umm, its stupid easy to mash out the 5B. Yes, if you hit it too early, it won't come out, but the point of mashing is that you will hit the button multiple times, one of which will definitely be in the correct window.

You don't even need to have to mash that hard, I just do a standard double or triple tap that is commonly done in timing sensitive motions.

Also...online rankings have nothing to do with how good a character is. Especially after two or three days of play when people just get hit by random bullshit that they haven't seen before.

Why are you mashing it out when the timing isnt even strict? Thats just harboring a bad habit.

IF the game has only been out "2 or 3 days" and it has nothing to do with how good a character is, that completely goes against what other people said in this topic about the game being worn out in Japan since last year. Sounds like a hypocrite to me.

You can't be serious? Double tapping a link a bad habit? LOL.

It is not hypocrisy. You need to play the game to actually learn the matchups no matter how much you may know the game in theory. I'm pretty sure in Japan all the arcade players have not migrated to online play (rofl if you think that) and decided to use their mains and seriously try to stay on top of the leaderboards by playing thousands of games against each other, meaning its the more casual players that for the most part have not learned how to play the game just getting hit by random bullshit they don't know how to deal with. I don't know if playing SC4 online makes people stupid or something but in your case it sure seems like it.

Just ordered myself a TE stick today off Amazon. Yes, I'm just now getting one. I've been wanting one for MONTHS upon MONTHS. So happy those bastards are back in stock. Now I don't have to mooch off others to dodge playing on my shitty HFS3. God I hate that stick. I can only imagine how playing BB on a TE will be. I'll know for myself come next Sunday :D.

I <3 Noel. I hate to admit it, but <3 that flat chested air-headed bitch to death. I hate it when characters grow on me :( She's just too fun to play. I need to learn another character though. Haku-men, here I come.

lol. I guess. More twisting the real point at hand.

Which is what? That you're claiming PS3 leaderboards as evidence that Tager's tier listing is somehow faulty? And now claiming that double tapping links is a bad habit? I'd argue, but all I can really say is........no? And then you'll come back and smart mouth me some more, while spouting the same baseless nonsense.

The fact that you even said the words "PS3 leaderboard" in the first place was laughable enough.

Tager's not on top anymore. It's Kasanori's Carl, using the dreaded clap trap. Seriously, go download (on the ladder) Kasanori's match with Wahoo- Carl vs. Arakune. Arakune tries several times to break the clap and fails each time.

Yeah, I've seen that Carl's replay. That Arakune got looped to death. I swear once you get caught, Geese should walk on screen and shout "You cannot escape...from death!" as he loops you.

Shit is tragic to watch, no matter who it's being done on.

Dio should be every Carl player's god for discovering that shit.

Which is what?

That the tier listings would change because the North American console release is less than a week old.

Is this concept too difficult to grasp? Blazblu actually has a real, working netcode UNLIKE shitty SC4. Saying online doesnt count when the online Blazblu experience is almost identical to offline is faulty on your part. Online is EXCELLENT, why wouldnt the top contenders online mean anything?

Its not like this game has lag tactics. So I dont know whats so "laughable" about going by the online ranking. Nobody said online was the end-all to rank, but it plays its part in the consultation of a character. The only thing that WOULDNT make the rankings viable are the huge number of novice players being demolished by scrub tactics, but then again the ranking break down wins by character as well, so I remain to stand corrected.

Nevermind, found the link to the color vids.

Panda, I am a Bang main.

lulz at the user tags. y'all clowning hardcore.

I hear Jaxel's trying to get a BB equivalent of 8wr up. Would be mad sweet.

You seem to be under the assumption that BB online is a perfect mirror of offline play (why the hell else would you go by online rankings unless you've convinced yourself that it is). Well, to make it blunt, it's not.

Sure, coming from SCIV online, BB online would and SHOULD seem godly. Hell, even SFIV online seems godly in comparison to SCIV online in terms of netcode. However, even with how good BB online is, the lag is still there and becomes apparent when you drop combos or get out-poked because of it. BB online does not mirror offline play. It does a damn good job trying to, but it's not perfect by any means. If I had to grade BB online, I'd give it a B or B+.

Lastly, to go to online rankings for conjuring a tier list, as opposed to say, the SBO quals results, is an extremely moronic thing to do.
