BlazBlue - GuiltyGear's next gen cousin

PS: Tiamat is rocking my 1 day Noel hard with his Tager :(. The power of science is great indeed. GGs to him and Windstar. Online is pretty good.

LOL I had no idea it was you. I saw Noel player owning everyone when I came in lol. I came in cause Windstar invited me.

things to look out for vs Tager:
- his 236236B super (electric spinny doom move) the last hit is overhead so make sure you are blocking high
- his sledge (236A or 236B) goes through projectiles and attacks that count as projectiles (which is a lot of noel's moves). it has a followup if he does 236A that is overhead. however, if he likes to use that a lot you can either just mash A to interrupt it after blocking sledge, or block and punish (though distance may make punish difficult)
- watch out for 2D (headbutt dashing thing) into his 360A or 720 grabs. it is about neutral on block and magnetizes so if you attack or block you will generally be in for pain. try to jump or backdash, or use a move that is invulnerable to grabs if you have one
- tager anti air is pretty weak so as long as you aren't being overly predictable he will have a hard time stopping jump ins

also I agree, online is better than I expected. vs some people I get bad lag but usually not (this is my first day doing it so I don't have a large sample really)

I just wanna say to everyone don't worry too much about the tiers just try to have fun with the game. Why else would I be playing Tager? XD

Played it the other day. Fun game but its hard to figure out what the fuck is goin on with all the graphics. It's a beautiful game but jesus fucking christ. I had no idea what was going on. I just basically button mashed and spammed with Jin.

Seems like a fun game for me but I don't think I'll be buying it to master and be competitive like SC.

Cast seems amazingly diverse despite the small roster though...unlike SF4.

Though I think I may have bit off more than I can chew with Litchi, I'm going to stick with her!

I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE! =P

Give it a go; she's really fun to play.

Some tips:
1) 5B 5C 236D~C. Jump w/ followups obviously, but those come with time. Practice that first.
2) 6B. Superpoke! Just...LOOK AT IT! OMFG.
3) j.B is her "crossup" move; comes out fairly fast, hits decent range far and below her.
4) j.C is a long windup poke midair.
5) When in doubt, put the rod down, then FLING IT AT THEM! It's a long range projectile too.

Want any other tips, or got any other suggestions for me, send me a PM, or msg me on Live. I'm learning a lot of stuff too.

Have you seen her combo vid? That shit is CRAAAAZZYYY. O_O

What are the tier standings thus far? I want to main Hakumen but I'm afraid of being accused of being a tier whore. He reminds me a lot of Q- slow and hard to land a hit, but when you land it, it takes a good 15% of their health.

Maybe he meant to type 35-50%? lol

I honestly want to use Haku-men as well. But I'm going to stick with Noel until I get comfortable with her playstyle before trying to learn another character.

It's not that bad, I had a majority of her combos down day 2. Just keep at it and you will start to get the timing. Once you get a few down, a lot of them start to make sense in how attacks flow into staff recall.

Litchi 2b[m] is a long range low poke and you can combo it into 6b[m]. If they block the 2b[m] and you have conditioned them to expect the follow up you can cancel it by holding down b. This can set you up for a block string, possibly a counter hit or even a throw.

Yea i want to play Litchi. But the manual dexterity required to play her seems a little to much for me. That first combo is her BnB but I can never get it 100%, ive already spent like 4 hours trying to get it. Shit is HARD.

Wow, I saw some top player videos of this game while I was high (Cannabis), and it looked too awesome! This game's sound effects are great. I'm going to rent it (just to make sure), and probably buy it.

Question for everyone: How different/similar would you say is BlazBlue compared to GGXXAC, MvC2, MB, etc?

Edit: Is there any official forum for BB yet?

I still can't get Jin's down, let alone Litchi's. I'm too used to SC timing I guess. Will have to work more... ><

anyone else having problems with Rachel's 6A > 5B > sj. j.b j.a j.b j.c > dj 2C?

timing is so strict for this game =[

You said it.

As we speak, I STILL can't get Jin's CH dp (dragon punch... don't know the notations yet) C ~ 5C launcher right. ><

Litchi main here. Wondering if any other Litchi players could give insight on general strats. I have most of her basic BnBs down pat but it's the general way of using Litchi is what I probably need some information on.

Midscreen manten combos are sexy.
