Hey, I just love that color application on 'Shooting Star Halley': it has a vibe of pastel-y cool warmth (if that makes any sense), and the balance and detail work make it feel like like something jumping off an actual concept art or manga page. Likewise, the detail work on your updates post is really consistently impressive: I've always loved that character design of the guy with the nose ring, the name of which I forget--it really does feel unique and high quality. I also love the granite surface work on the stone paddle: it's so well done that it looks nice even well into the foreground on that picture. Great stuff! It's nice to see some new work from you: especially with how quiet things have been for a while, this has been a cool week for returning talent here. :)

Hey, thanks! I was very much going for that shoujo manga cover feeling with Halley. And thanks again, I have no idea what the nose ring guy's name is either. I usually design based around an aesthetic, piece of gear or a technical challenge, I don't even think about the names until I'm about to post, hah! I don't make things as frequently as I used to, but I've still got some newer CaS I haven't posted yet and I normally participate in the reddit/twitter challenges so I'll still pop in here and there. I see you're been back on the grind yourself, I dig the stuff you've been posting!

Thank you too, Bootsy! I'm pretty happy with my recent contributions: I feel like I usually can expect about a 50% success rate with my more ambitious designs, but pretty much all of the high-concept stuff I have attempted since coming back the last few weeks has come off pretty well. We'll see if I can keep up the grinding out: finding the discretionary time to generate the work itself is not super easy just now, but seeing other familiar faces here again is great encouragement in that respect! :)

What a trio, Bootsy! I'm not sure I see the S&M theme so much in 'Safeword', but regardless, the headpiece is pretty crazy elaborate, and I imagine it looks even better in high-res! Likewise, 'Ngrupuk Parade' is all kinds of stylish, with quality object and texture work and a very coherent and evocative theme: we were just talking in Nitric's thread about the dearth of good south Asian and Hindu designs in the creation community, and here you are on the spot with another! But the standout for me is probably 'Vazi': what a great concept, and the simulation of the butterfly patterning creates a really pleasing and engaging color balance that gives him a sense of detail and realism, even though the idea is wild. That much sticker usage should runt he risk of becoming too noisy, but because your brain accepts it as animal camouflage, it feels natural. It's really a pleasure to see so many people suddenly dropping great stuff all of the sudden!

Thank you! Between you and me I saw you mention the lack of south Asian designs right before I posted so I figured I'd include it in this batch. I had a few different reference images up while I made it so really helped with catching the little details that made it feel like a good representation. As far as Vazi's coloring goes, he's based on the Madigascan sunset moth so it's actually taken from nature. All I did from there was make sure he had a rustic but regal look to him. S&M might not be the right description but I feel like he's got a hedonistic, lust god vibe to him. Though between the choker, studded codpiece and snake nipple clamps I'd call it close enough lol.
I'm glad he's caught your interest!
If you look deep inside you'll find he never really left.

Je corrige ma phrase qui ne veut rien dire. encore quelques bugs avec mon anglais. Vazi, pour moi est royal et brille par son allure étrange très stylée avec soin. Pour moi, l'utilisation du sticker papillon est l'une des plus belles réalisations de ce site. Ce personnage a certes un design élégant, audacieux par son originalité de très bon goût qui lui confère une unicité à part dans la création. Toutes nos félicitations
