Boycott Chick-fil-A with me!

i've been following this for the past year, and have finally decided...

fuck this. i will never ever eat chick-fil-a again, nor will i abide to going there for any reason with anybody else.

in case you are wondering where this is coming from, Chick-fil-A has, for the past three years, been the nation's second largest financial supported of anti-gay hate groups and political campaigns. they have many times claimed not to be an anti-gay corporation, and every time turned around and donated millions more dollars to organized hate groups such as Focus on the Family and the National Organization for Marriage. Their CEO has publicly stated many times that Chick-fil-A will always follow a Biblical agenda in terms of gay rights.

across the country, colleges are kicking them off campus because they refuse, as a company, to stop supporting these hate groups. it is high time that i step up and spend ten minutes to announce that i will be boycotting them for the rest of my life, and to ask that anybody concerned with things like civil rights and human equality man the fuck up and do the same.

in his most recent statement about the allegations, Dan Cathy, CEO and president of Chick-fil-A said in an open Q&A forum, that while Chick-fil-A "will continue to support organizations like Focus on the Family, the National Organization for Marriage, and others opposed to LGBT equality, gay people are always welcome to buy chicken sandwiches from our restaurants."

Really? REALLY?

how about instead you go fuck yourself, Dan. Popeye's is better anyway.

Meh, I ate there like twice and thought they were sub-par at best so not eating there anymore wont be a prollem and ur right Popeyes is waaaaaaay fuckin better lol theres one right down the street from my house however no chick Fil A any where near me.

In other fucked up news, Montana apparently restated an archaic law that made homosexuality a FELONY. It was often disregarded as one of those silly fun fact state rules that never was upheld...but the assholes actually to the time to reinstate it very recently...

So yeah lotta hate. Also California get your shit together...prop 8...come the fuck on!

When you attack a church you are attacking a religion. Since you seem to genuinely want to drop it though, I'll let it go.

church =/= religion. church is an extension of religion. It's not required nor does it stand alone. And while I missed the comment I'm guessing the intention was to point out religious influence in politics, which is an issue and may not be directly against the faith. I for one am fine with say Christians, but when I see them applying their faith to political practice and voting power I am deeply offended by the abuse of power.

Also...so if you marry the cattle your stuck with doggy style? That's boring!

Lol, Focus on the Family is not a hate group. Are they overstepping their bounds by trying to force their views into politics? Probably.

I can assure you though, they don't hate gays.

well, noface, it is easy to say they are not a hate group. what you cannot deny, though, is that they are a group driven to deny gays of civil rights, whatever their reasoning may be.

when people look on others as less than human or not deserving of equal rights, i would consider that hatred.

Man that gay law wont pass here in cali too many gay bashers in political power for that to ever be possible. I just dont understand it. I am a christian I believe in jesus christ and god. From all that I have been taught and all that I have read my understanding is that from a biblical stand point homosexuality is indeed wrong, however it is also said that god wishes for us to love one another no matter our differences and wishes for us to be accepting of eachother. I may not agree with what homosexual males and females do, however I would never hate or repremand them for it. People are who they are, they feel what they feel. I will never be gay nor will I ever say that I believe it is biblically right to be gay. But I will never discriminate a gay man or woman for what kind of love they have or who they share it with. But the politicians here in this state do not agree with that and it is very saddening to know that we as human beings will never be fully accepting of one another.

Well I'm a vegetarian so i don't eat there anyways but if it matters I support this lobo. I'll let others i know will find this worth noting too. Hope it helps, :)

What about David and Jonathan? I see some people referencing that as a homosexual relationship, but they really don't have a good case for it.

Anyway, I don't see why you would try to use the Bible to support your views since you don't believe in it in the first place.

rofl at sodomy laws. did you know that in texas it is legal to fuck your cattle, but illegal to get a blowjob from your wife?
well once your married you can forget about getting any blowjobs from your wife. that shit is left at the altar lol.

again, this isn't about religious anything.

Their views are consistent with the Bible in that they don't hate the person, just the lifestyle. I already agreed with you though in that they shouldn't force their views on society. In that respect, their views are not consistent with the Bible. As a Christian I believe they are only attacking a symptom of a much larger problem...and it's really pointless to go after one small group of people who sin against God when there are so many other groups of people who are also sinning against God. You don't see them trying to get drunkeness outlawed.

I think one of the biggest problems is that they single out Gays as if God somehow views their sin as greater than others. The thing is though, is that if you don't believe in God or in what the Bible says, you probably aren't going to see a problem with your lifestyle to begin with...so again it's pointless to go and outlaw something like gay marriage.

I genuinely believe that Focus on the Family is not motivated by hate, and they don't view you as less than human. However, in my humble opinion, they are not properly representing Jesus by the way they are trying to outlaw Gay marriage.

again, this isn't about religious anything.

It is in some part a religious issue, because it is religious views that prompt most people to disagree with the gay lifestyle. There are some people out there that genuinely hate gays for whatever reason, but these groups you referenced are religious groups.

in my opinion any action or motivation to deny a group of people civil rights is unethical. if the culture is not viewed as 'less than human' than why should their rights be less than everyone else's?

that said, the boycott is not about Focus on the Family as much as it is not about religion. it is about a corporation openly marginalizing and demeaning a group of people and then having the audacity to invite them to spend money there. fuck. that.

I'll cosign. my friend loves chick fila but i'm a popeyes guy myself.. but for future reference, if you ask me to abandon taco bell ever.... we're going to have issues.. to the point where it might come to fisticuffs... needless to say, if i die and go to heaven and there's no taco bell.. I'll swear i'm in hell...
