cervy: pad or stick?

hi guys..
i'm a pad user (ps3),
and i'm having troubles using moves like FC A+BBB and iTP, on pad is still so much hard to work w/..
have you some hints? or should i buy an arcade stick?
are you guys pad or stick users?

I find stick easeier to work with but Ive seen both types of cervy players. Its all personal preference. iTP is easiet on stick imo but it can be done with practice. FC3A+BBBBBB Ive only seen one cervy do it with out stick. Trick rof that move is to have mutilple B's Mapped, Figuring out your own patern is really the only way to go though. Everyone does it differently, but for the most part just do what feels natural.

Some people have an easier time doing iGDR and FCa+b mash frame on stick. I don't know anyone that can consistently iTP on pad. Personally I can't even do diagonals consistently on pad, but that's just me.

If you're on stick, it's feasible to do FCa+b without mapping extra buttons, by using two fingers to tap B as fast as you can. I don't have success with this method, but you'll see jap players do this a lot in SF games for mash inputs. If you're on pad, you'll want to map extra buttons.

I use the Stick on my 360 Pad and neither iTP nor iGDR is a problem...both easy with practice...sometimes i mess up FC A+BBB but just because im too lazy most of the time...with some concentration its not a big deal, you just need some extra Bs, i use this layout:

R1 B+K
R2: B+K
L1 A+B
L2 B+G

A+K is useless for Cervy, except in combos..so you'll have enough time to press A+K the normal way...

If you buy a stick, buy one with 8 Button Layout and use it like this:

[A] [K] [Whatever you want]
[G]

For FC A+B you just have to slide from Guard to the right and back, you'll get the GB very consistent.

Im just not able to do iCT on a stick, do you guys have an mapped B+G Button, or do you just release G and press again??

thanks to all for the hints :)
but i've an other question:
how can you guys do iTP on ps3 pad? using only arrows and sliding with finger
or using arrows for 214 and then analogic for the 6?

I can do 214:6 all on the dpad it takes a bit of practice, but its okay for me. 236:4 (on the reverse side) is another story.. I can't get that consistent at all..

pad cervy rules the only draw back is his FC a+bBBBBBB but the trade off is iTP with a stick iTP is hard if you stick to a pad you can do 214: on the analog and 6 on the dpad. i have the street fighter 4 Tourny edition stick and i dont like it one bit for cervy(well the turbo is nice for FCa+B) Trust me stick with a pad.

iTP will Save your ass More times FC a+bbbbbb could ever dream of.

Your backs to the edge an amy(damn amy) comes running and you know there gonna slide, time the iTP right and they will ring themselves out. iTP FTW

pad set up

L1 B+K
L2 B+G
R1 A+B
R2 A+K

thanks for the suggestions, i'll see what can i do^^
an iTP question:
what's the correct timing to perform it? it's just like iGDR (push 4 and B at the same time.. 6 in this case) or anything else?

Yeah the easiest way for me to do it is to hit 4 just at the inner edge so I can slide to 6 faster and hit it just at the edge too. 236 is just an awkward motion for my thumb to do very quickly. iGDR isn't a problem, but iTP is.

you can do iTP consistently on a pad, it just takes a lot of practice. Stick is the way to go for that, though.

actually i've to do a choice: xbox360 or ps3.
this decision is getting me tired cuz i'm thinking about it from quite much time.
both platforms have good things..
but atm i propend for xbox, cuz of live, that from what i've heard is a better online service then the psn one.
now, here the point:
the trouble is the pad (i can't really find an arcade stick, after few tries).. the d-arrows suck (never tested it but this what they say)..
so i'm looking for the 'limited edition' one, that seems to have better arrows: http://www.streetfighter4.it/foto/varie/xbox-360-pad-verde.jpg
what do you think 'bout it? this pad is good for accurate inputs? have you ever tried it?
sry but i need answers, too much doubts are bothering me, darn O.O

PS: i've tried to map L-R buttons to do consistently FC A+BBB (on my friend ps3), like some of you said..
my mapping is slightly different, but thanks, now i can do very substancially that move.
very nice.
