Dampierre Q&A / General Discussion

I guess technically it's not a glitch since he was hit backturned (I guess it was programmed for the animation to hit either in front, side, etc).

I did this with nightmare too, his animation became active regardless.

If you do the CE forwards vs leixia's crybaby it works normally.

I have a nice clever tech trap I'll upload, something fresh for Dampierre players to try out and see. I'll upload it tonight.

I'm a big fan of your videos xD I can't wait to see it! Do you use a normal video camera? I might try to upload videos of my own some time

I use my laptop's webcam, not the best, but it's better than nothing I suppose.
And by all means yes I do encourage you, and others likewise to share videos if you wish, that's how we can learn and critique!

And here it is! I'll try and implement this in a match and review the success rate.

I gotta try that out and I'll see what I can do about uploading videos I could use some critiquing xD

Did anyone know that if you JG Pyrrha's 1st or 2nd hits of her CE, the rest can be GI'd, or even aGI'd? Tested with Cervantes B+K, so Damp's CE should work.

The 2nd hit and onward on multihit CE's can always be GI'd. You can also let the first hit whiff and then GI.
For example against yoshi's CE i just make sure to have some distance to him and then i use siegs SBH (B+K) and punish for up to 110 dmg.

Pyrrha doesnt use the other stabs when she whiffs the first hit, and on block the blockstun is too long for a GI. That is why you need to JG the first or 2nd hit. Siegs CE is GI'able aswell from whatever range except close, since you can't GI the sword, but you can GI the Ice.

I wasn't referring to Pyrrhas CE in particular when i said, you can let the first hit of Multihit CE's whiff and then GI. In general, if a CE has more than one hit, its always possible to GI the follow ups. This includes of course siegs CE.

For siegs CE in particular though using GI would be stupid for damp, since damps CE would most likely whiff on that range in most cases.

I never try to GI any CEs >__< I get to worried I'll mess it up but I did use Damp's CE when my opponent used Yoshi's CE in an offline fight xD

hello!
I'm really trying to get good with dampierre and some technics are still a mistery to me:

when you do:B: ok :B+G:/:A+G: after a poker bluff, you will start pummeling your opponent's face. but I only manage to hit my opponent 5 or 6 times...

I faught some dampierre that constantly hit me someting like 20 timse, dealing way more damages.
the command list makes no mentions of that, and I'm getting desperate to do it myself T_T.

There's that, and there's also his standard :B+G: where you can spank your opponent's butt more thant 3 ou 4 times it seems... how do I do that ?!

I'm pretty sure this questions have already ben asked and aswered but it the third 15 pages thread I read without luck so far... anyway thank for your time :)

Mash all your buttons and direction to get more hits. You can counter mash those grabs to lessen the amount of hits you take too. I think one of Dampierre's grabs can't be counter mashed but a more informed player can clear that up for you.
