It seems to be going that way - the Japanese competitive crowd want DOA5 to be more like DOA4, and TN's obeying them.
I could be wrong though - despite having this game for months, I have yet to touch it (PS3 reading problems).

The Xbox still doesn't have the last patch so as far as Im concerned the d game is dead. Ive been playing VF5 and TTT2 lately. The patch better be good when it comes because Im really gonna have a hard time going back to DOA now that I know what Im getting into...

Was it really necessary to come here to ask this? What do you expect people to say?' YEAH DOA'S DEAD GO PLAY TEKKENZ RAWRRR!!!' The game's still in better shape than SCV (how's VF5:FS however?).
The 360 not getting the latest patch is troubling however, though TN is busy with DOA5+ and want to ensure that the patch contains the contents that they wanted (still think the SE glitch should remain).

Which is in France, a country where SC has higher numbers of players compared to the other games.
That's like saying that Marvel is dead in comparison to BlazBlue because more people play the latter in Japan.

Actually if you'd done your research you'd know that the French community pretty much abandoned this game several months ago. More to the point I dont believe SCV is dead in the US, or Japan and certainly not in singapore, lol. France I will grant you is absolutely a SC hub, but to out attend Marvel and TTT2? Thats impressive.
DOA5 on the other hand seems to have started dead and is now midway through decomposing. If its not the case worldwide, it is the case in the UK. Thats the only reason I asked, I recently started playing VF and DOA a little more and I dont want to hop onto a sinkinng ship, as it were.

Just because it seems to be the case in one country doesn't (the UK) doesn't make it the case everywhere else. Especially if you aren't checking out the places where the community actually hangs out.
