Demons souls

Actually, with a melee character, the game gets a ton easier as you progress... and its all about two handers. Against False King Allant, you dodge everything he does, then strike... a shield is pointless. If you are a caster, its a one hit kill no matter what.

Melee users ABSOLUTELY needed to know Perfect Shield.

Whats perfect shield? Is it a magic spell?

Hey where do I get the red stone? The one that allows me to challenge people to a dual and not just invade?

This is a fantastic game (and 55% of my reasoning for getting a PS3). Just wish there was control customization- I'm a handicapped gamer (was born with Cerebral Palsy, which rendered me wheelchair-bound and left me with the use of only my right hand).

For games like this, I use the BenHeck-designed Access Controller (You try playing Demon's Souls on a DualShock, one-handed... It's impossible). For turn-based RPGs, I use a standard controller, and for fighters, a MadCatz SF4 FightPad.

I'm honestly impressed and I'm really happy that there are actually accessories out there to help people with Cerebral Palsy play games. Honestly though from what I'm hearing this game is hard as hell, and you might need THREE hands to be good at it. But I'm curious, how do you play fighters with one hand? I can understand RPGs, but fighters are a whole different beast...

So am I, but the [first batch of the] Access has quite a few problems.

That I believe, it is -HARD-... 8 straight deaths? Yeah...

But I'm curious, how do you play fighters with one hand? I can understand RPGs, but fighters are a whole different beast...

Honestly, I play fighters like any other game I play. I'm right-handed, so I turn the controller sideways so the d-pad is towards me and the buttons are towards my knee, and use my thumb for the left stick/d-pad, and my index & middle fingers for the buttons

So I'm trying to complete the trophies for this game... to do so, I'm wondering if anyone wouldn't mind trading some items? Possibly even letting me borrow a few weapons? (You get a trophy for simply HAVING the weapon, you dont need to actually make it yourself, so you trade the weapon to a player, they get the trophy, then trade it back)

Looking to TRADE FOR:
Old Monk's Soul
Armor Spider's Soul
Maiden Astraea's Soul
Dragon God's Soul
Pure Darkmoonstone
ANY Spiderstone
Chunks of Hardstone

Looking to BORROW:
+5 Crushing Weapon
+5 Sharp Weapon
+5 Sticky Weapon
+5 Mercury Weapon
+5 Dragon Weapon
+5 Tearing Weapon
+5 Fatal Weapon
+5 Moon Weapon
+5 Crescent Weapon
+5 Blessed Weapon
+5 Cloudy Weapon
North Regalia
Insanity Catalyst
Lava Bow
Needle of Eternal Agony
Dozer Axe
Morrion Blade
Meat Cleaver
Scraping Spear
Blueblood Sword
Large Sword of Searching

Tell me what you need and I'll see if I got it.

Hey Jaxel I got the meat cleaver you can borrow it from me if you like. I will look through my inventory for so more of the stuff you have on your list.

Cool... I actually need all of those named weapons at the exact same time... what level are you?

I'm level 69 but if you need them all at the same time then I probably cant help as i only have the meat cleaver I used my old monk soul on magic. You know if anything I can just let you have the meat cleaver. I will just borrow one from my friend just to get the trophy

Nah... meat cleaver is one of the easier ones I can get on my own...

Got an extra Dragon God's Soul? lol.

Lol i just used all the souls I had to make weapons and magic. Now I have the majority of the weapons you get from the souls. Just need scrapping spear and insanity talisman

I beat the game and I am now playing a new game plus, shit is hard now I fought the tower knight and he killed me with 1 freaking hit. I had to ask my friend for help and then summon another phantom just to barley win, he killed my phantoms though. It also seems as if black phantoms are popping up more recently now like every time I enter a world. Once I get the scrapping spear I'm just going to destroy armor and weapons just letting you guys know this now. If you invade my world my only goal will be to destroy your shit.

Jaxel, I think mine is around 156. Game is starting to get a bit boring.

KingAce, I swear that the starting class does make a difference, but some people will say not. I still get hit like a bitch on my priest no matter how much vitality, and defense I have. I am wearing brushwood armor too. I wish I made a knight lol. God's Wrath isn't even debo like I had hoped it would be by playing priest. Ah well.

Interesting, but between like the melee characters. Since I am a wonderer; thinking if I should be wielding dual katanas instead of a shield and sword.

That I don't know. From what I see, in pvp, 2h weapons are the way to go. Going through the game, 2h weapons are very good if you're able to dodge peoples attacks. Otherwise, carry a Dark Silver Shield, and the Purple Flame Shield, and you should be good. Dark Silver Shield blocks 100% of magic damage, while the Purple Flame Shield blocks 100% fire and 100% weapon attacks. Some weapons have magic damage added to them, so its good to be prepared to switch on the fly. If all else fails, get a good bow and alot of arrows, then you can hurt them from a distance.

I think the hardest boss in the game, for me, is Maneater. Against everyone else it seems you can beat them with a pattern. Anyone else have any troubles? I've got a strat for all of the bosses except for Maneater.

I just beat NG+, and I gotta say... the game is a TON easier the second time through when you know exactly what you need to do. I hated the Tower of Latria in my first play through because of all the backtracking... but this time, not so much. Also, the first thing you should use your extra Colorless Demon souls on is the Adjudicator Shield. With the Adjudicator Shield, you get 10 hp per second regen... so it makes The 5-2 extremely easy, when you can just walk across the swamp, skip all the enemies and ignore poison and the plague.

I'm SL 140 now and this is what I still need for trophies (if you have them, can I borrow them?):

Insanity Catalyst
Lava Bow
Blueblood Sword
+5 Crushing Weapon
+5 Sharp Weapon
+5 Sticky Weapon
+5 Mercury Weapon
+5 Dragon Weapon
+5 Tearing Weapon
+5 Fatal Weapon
+5 Moon Weapon
+5 Crescent Weapon
+5 Blessed Weapon
+5 Dark Shield

Also... am I the only one who feels like a DICK for killing Maiden Astraea?

you actually killed the maiden? I let her commit suicide man.

How can you guys just beat the game so fast man? Im on new game + and these bastards are just killing me left and right. I'm thinking I should have lved up a lot more before I finished my first game because one magic shot and I die

Yeah but she was just a front...that bitch is evil I mean look at that flith around her, and those fucking babies...the hell is that about. All the spells you learn from getting her soul say she's a bitch so...no cares.

Killed the red dragon, and I ate its soul, was that bad?
I want to kill King Doran so bad, I never knew he actually gave you a chance to get the sword, dude out right attacked me.
I also want to kill Mestopheles, just because...So if I kill Doran will that give me a pure black tendency?
And where do you guys find the ring of avarice?
