There's honestly no more need for the 'who killed the community' argument either; the community is in the state it is and pointed the finger at this or that isn't going to help. Let's just all enjoy (or not enjoy) the game, because everyone's had they're same two cents for a while now and only a few people are doing anything with it.
 
sc3 VC shoulda never been removed from tourneys, it makes the game more fun, and it's already the most fun game on the planet. Only Lizzy VC shoulda been banned.

Calibur 4 Algol shoulda been banned after RTD got gay wit him. He's just plain broke as fuck. Hilde vs. Amy is interesting. Hilde has no real weakness that really matters but she's WAY more difficult to use and she can't do all her best shit whenever she wants like Amy can, but Amy is like the only character in the game that can't be played well safely, BUT she's the easiest character to use. Hilde gets free grab attempts all day. Hilde IS better tho. Neither are as gay as Algol.
 
Whatever, I guess here we go again. Bet I can find this same argument with the same arguments a thousand times over dating a year and some change back. >_>

THis looks like Bitching to me. I wasn't blameing anyone, im just stateing this is what Ive heard.

anyways, I am all for this game like Malice, Im tired of stupid generalizations about this community. I think we are seeing the result of the new meta occuring on the FSAKs thread. Lets make the gameing expereince a better one for everone.

If I hear one more time how this game is dead and no one plays it I swear Im just gunna tell you to stfu and gtfo. Do something productive instead of whineing about how this game is broken or this game is stupid. etc. Its on all of us.

This isnt directed at one person, but this is directed at all. We will not grow until we grow up.

additional, also you want to know the main reason why I hear most people either walk away from this game or others wont play it....... yeah you guess it, the community sucks, not the game sucks. After they see that they dont like the community they translate that into how much thy dislike th game. im not saying that's everyonem but that is the trend I have seen For the last several years.

Also VC was never intended to be in the game just like G2 and everyone knows this.

Well, banning can be good since it benefits my relatively fair playing style. The only reason I can beat anyone consistently is because my game is based upon fairness. My example is a bit different, but similar to what Belial once said, the only time he ever lost to someone at a certain event was when Hilde entered the picture (even though he beat everyone else just fine). Anyway, this logic about whining is strikingly flawed. It sounds as if standing up for a ban automatically ruins the community. But that's not true 'cause a lot of people have benefited from knowing me and playing me.

Also, for some reason, this reminds me of religion. It's like saying, because I don't believe in God, that automatically makes me a terrible person and also the reason for the downfall of society. Incorrect. Following a rule just because it is a rule doesn't equate to you being a better player.

Omega said almost the exact same thing word for word to me. If Hilde wasnt in the game, he felt he could win a major with Zasalemel.
 
Yes. This is my point. Egg, you've been around since SC2, so you know exactly what I'm talking about. The others have no clue. Remember when the game came out and we just *gasp* PLAYED it? I'm hoping, and literally praying, that the next installment, fellow pros and vets aren't so quick to cry and whine, but show new players how do deal w/things. New players learn from us, and the vets/pros dropped the ball pretty bad. That's the only important point I'm trying to make so people actually learn something:)

Vincent: You are making it sound like Namco should base the game off of your playing style? And yes, banning things that don't NEED to be banned is stupid. SC2 had leadership. SC3/4 didn't. There is your other problem. I voted many times to have a top player comittee but nobody listened, so the community went to shit cause there was no direction.......again.

Plus, you guys have to remember, it's competing against a new SF and a new Tekken, which is pretty damn hard. If you like it, play it, but don't expect to try and rally the troops unless there is 1k guaranteed somewhere cause today, nobody is traveling unless there is money involved.
 
well considering that t6 isn't even a year old on console and we almost matched their attendance WITHOUT the promise of foreign players...i think that is very very positive.

people who don't see the obvious benefits of banning hilde...well there is no point arguing about it.

also...@ swordlord...amy can't play well safely? LOL...thank you so much for making me smile. HAHAHAHAHA
 
I can safely say I'm in the camp of people who say "lol man up" is not an acceptable option.
Your free to run your shit with whatever rules you want.

Consequently, we don't need a committee of top players. Being a top player doesen't mean your shit don't stink. What we need is a "WCMaxi" to just lay down the fucking law. It would be biased of me to suggest myself; but on the other hand you all are gonna assume I am anyways, so fuck it, I am.

I'm not happy about the state of the community, but I couldn't be happier with the state of the rules.

Moves Amy NEEDS and are pretty damn punishable on block
