Looks like a generic fighter to me.

Also after playing Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive, 2D fighters feel outdated. The movement that 3D fighters give is just unmatched.

Fighting games in general are kinda meh, with Soul Calibur being the exception. Lack of single player content, bad story, uninteresting characters, bad controls, and unintuitive combat. Those are things that fighting games have been criticized on, but Soul Calibur is the closest to getting it all right. More fighting games need to take notes.
