Final Fantasy XIII

I don't understand why so many people hate on FF12.

I can't wait to play FF13. Seeing so much people on my PS3 F-list playing the game and knowing that I have to wait makes me sad =(

As for Xenosaga being cut short, that was due to sales. The game wasn't selling very well in Japan or the US.

Xenosaga was a greatest hits game, but I think them botching the second game is what killed the sales. I still can't bring myself to play Xenosaga 2, and because of that I still haven't played or bought 3 either.

I got my copy today and i have to say the reviews are total nonsence, im only 3 hours in but i think its fantastic, as for the lineararity just dont look at the mini map :P

I just picked up the game this morning!
i'm so excited to try it out...

Whats the "special item" that you get once you register?

I'm on chapter 3 and so far I'm liking Snow a lot.

Don't get what was with all the hate on Snow back then.

And Hope didn't dissapoint me. Hate his ass so much.

I had plenty of game overs, and im only in Chapter 4. T_T
but all my game overs were the result of me not paying attention to my HP meter...

Hope is a little punk, crys too much.

Vanille is a ho, she makes the most pornographic moans even when she's not doing anything... what a dirty little slut. other than that... she's cute.

Snow reminds me of Naruto. Personallity wise, the notion of "never giving up"

Lighting... she's just quiet. she should be more talkative.

and dont even get me started about the black guy with a baby chocobo in his fro.

Vanille is my favorite character so far, Chapter 5, she doesn't give a damn about anything that's going on. CIAO!

Sazh is my next favorite, best black guy ever created by a japanese person.

I'm still in chapter 3. I was in tears when they showed where her mark was....shit was too priceless.

And Sazh, typcial black guy
1. Has a fro
2. guns are his weapon
3. Whenever there is danger and a white guy (snow) is istchin to go there, he doesn't.
4. Has a bird in his hair, (black guys always have things in their fro....i should know...i did too lol)

And that's just to name a few...damn japenese people are racists....

Here a Guide i saw on how to upgrade weapons to MAX efficiently.

This will be a guide on the best ways to fully upgrade your weapons.
Not recommended until later in the game, specifically chapter 11 onwards.

The first rule is that each component for upgrading has a hidden multiplier value.
Generally organic raise the multiplier but give a low EXP yield, and mechanical items have a large EXP boost and reduce the multiplier.

You can increase the multiplier easily with Sturdy Bone, Barbed Tail and Vibrant Ooze, all available to buy for 80 gil. With 36 of either of these items you will instantly increase the EXP multiplier to x3 on you item.

The next step is to use a large amount of a mechanical component in one go to maximize the effect of the x3 multiplier you have achieved.

As a general rule of thumb, each weapon has three stages and to increase an initial weapon from Lv. 1 to max costs 50,000EXP, intermediate from Lv.1 to max costs 450,000EXP, and finally ultimate weapons require approximately 1,500,000EXP.

The best EXP giving components are: (all EXP boosts are averages)
Ultracompact Reactor - EXP 40,000, Buy Price 50,000
Particle Accelerator - EXP 4,800, Buy Price 10,000
Tesla Turbine - EXP 823, Buy Price 1,800
Super Charger - EXP 774, Buy Price 1,600
Turboprop - EXP 768, Buy Price 1,600

So following these rules you can quickly, and using your gil most effectively, fully upgrade each weapon.

So as a summary:
1, Choose equipment to upgrade.
2, Use 36 Sturdy Bones, Barbed Tails or Vibrant ooze to get a x3 bonus.
3, Use correct amount of a single EXP boosting component to instantly bring it to its maximum level.
4, If possible use transformational catalyst required to transform item into its superior form.
5, Return to step 2 and repeat until your weapon is fully upgraded.

Hope is one of the best characters in the game, i think he is great. Fang and Lightning too, i do actually have a liking for them all really. :)

To be a greatest hits, you need to sell 300k in the US. Less than that for Japan's The Greatest line.

The original game did sell fairly well (400k in Japan and around 300k for the US since it was a GH, 700k overall). But the subsequent games were poor in sales. 200k for Japan, less than that (IIRC) in the US, Xenosaga 3 did about the same.

Back on the subject, I like Sazh, he's a total Red-Mage type of character. He gets Haste, Bravery, Faith and more for the offensive line. Later on he'll pick up the defensive stuff that Hope has like Shell and Protect. What's even better is that he also gets the En-spell line, which means if he's in Commando, he can use the -Strike line of spells found in Ravager and fight pretty decently as a Commando. He's also not too shabby as a Ravager and has the typical stuff found there. He's not going to maximize Ravager like Hope and Vanille, though. Nor can he duke it out with Fang or Snow, but he's well rounded, like Lightning. Though Lightning's more 'paladin' oriented (High Commando, High Ravager, light healing).

Fang's a total Dark Knight. Extremely high offense, and some really interesting Saboteur-spells (like Slow/ga and Curse/ga). I wonder if she'll get Imperil like Vanille down the line. It would make her extremely deadly in combination with Lightning and Snow.
