Final Fantasy XIII

Farming gil in this game is fucking retarded.

i've lost the will to play any longer.

i have 4 ultimate weapons, and all thats left to do is kill the Gigantuar and mission 64.
fuck getting 5 stars for all missions. fuck all the trophies. fuck getting the Serah theme.

the gil needed to lvl up all the weapons and all the accessories... is just too much.

my play time currently is about 100 hours. im posting the game Ebay and craigslist for sale.

GGs Enix. you fags.

Too short imo. Im at Chapter 11 now and i find its not even gotten to the meat and bones of the story yet (and its about to end). 6 is still my favorite followed by 7, 12 then 8 and 13. Supposedly they will be making a direct sequel to 13, according to an article i read on gamespot. Great characters so i think thats a great idea.

With maxed characters you can kill an Adamantoise in 90 secs. The one in Eden is practically on top of a savespot and you can save/load to respawn it. The "rotation" takes less than 3 minutes and the chance of getting a Platinum Ingot (150k gil) isn't too bad. Make sure you equip a Collector Catalog and do NOT equip a Connoisseur Catalog for best chance. I got the Platinum trophy at around 90 hours.

that is a well known spot, Sprudling.

i maxed out Crystarium for all roles for all characters and i sold my growth egg already.

Farming gil is just mindless killing. and i wont have any part in it what-so-evar.

good day sir.

Does having one Collector Catalog on each character increase the odds? What about having three Collector Catalogs one one character?

I don't think so, but I never tried. If it was the case I bet it would've been mentioned clearly in every post story guide, but I can't remember ever reading a word about it.

My thoughts on the characters:
Snow: What a meat head. But fun.
Vanille: Just a bit quirky. But cute.
Sazh: Cool dude.
Fang: Cool chick.
Hope: Whines a lot.
Lightning: Very attractive.

Thoughts on the game:
It's a very nice game. I don't have much complaints.
The graphics are amazing. I'm not gonna lie. I'm amazed of how it's visually presented.
The gameplay seems a bit simple at first. It gets harder forcing constant switches. Making it a pretty fast paced RPG.
The sounds are nice. Music can be captivating at times. The voice acting is decent for the most part. "Meh" for others.
The story is actually good IHMO. Though I felt there could of been more at certain times, but it's satisfying.

Overall: I'd recommend it to die-hard RPG fans willing to try something new.

End of quick review. (I feel like a gamefaq rater lol)

no the Catalogs does not stack.

that goes for all three catalogs ( survivalist, conoessuirs, collectors)

Finally beat Final Fantasy XIII. It was... O.K. at best. I feel like this is definitly the laziest instalment in the series though, and it has become CRYSTAL CLEAR that they are trying to change the face of Final Fantasy!

It's pretty obvious from things like No Fanfare (WTF), changing the appearance of classic monsters like Bombs and not having control of all the characters, they are definitely trying to turn the series into something else. Hell, one of the first things you see when you get to Pulse is a chocobo getting killed (Yeah, Square Enix must love Final Fantasy.) But it managed to keep me entrained so it was fun... I still think Final Fantasy Versus XIII is going to be better.

is there like a list in the game to see what items you had/have? how are you supposed to get this trophy if you can't see thing you once had?

You don't really need to know. For instance, if you have a Morale Talisman (Auto-Bravery), you know you've had a Hero's Amulet (Critical: Bravery) at some point because upgrading it is the only way to get a Morale Talisman. That trophy is simply about upgrading everything, and unless you've sold any accessories after getting to Gran Pulse I don't think it's possible to screw up in getting it.

What you should be concerned about is getting enough gil to upgrade everything. As PANDA has already pointed out, it's a pretty tedious grind :) If you're currently grinding CP, I suggest stop doing it and grind gil instead. By the time you have enough gil, you could have filled every character's crystarium grid twice.

Where is a good spot to grind gil? I don't think I'm ready for the adamantoise yet...

LOL @ ppl who bought this game. More Lolz for people that enjoying playing it. I just rushed through all the cut scenes on Youtube and probably got the same enjoyment. I haven't played it but it looks like FFXIII shouldn't qualify as a game. lolautobattle

Sucks for you even if you do press the auto-battle button a lot I still found the new experience very rewarding and I don't ever regret buying the game.

Yeah and I highly doubt you got the same enjoyment by just watching the cut-scenes, get real bro.

I need some help with the Adamantoise: Every time I watch a video of someone beating one they always start by summoning and the it falls down... For some reason, when I summon he never falls... am I missing something? Do i need an ability or accessory to make him fall after summoning?

Never heard of this. Are you sure it's an Adamantoise? :) Can you attack Right Leg and Left Leg? Btw, you might not strong enough yet, but the fastest way to grind is to not use summon (because it costs 3 TP). Tri-disaster staggers a leg in 1 turn (or almost) and Highwind kills a leg in 1 hit after stagger. Use earth resist accessories to make it alot easier.

Here is a video: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1278130/Sprudling_vs_Adamantoise.mp4

It can be done even faster without the buffing, but I felt it was a lot safer that way.
