Framework for re-establishing SC4 on a global scale!

All these people listed on top are currently playing in a lot of events as gatherings, tournaments, and more... Omega is leading a Tekken 6 league to take over the world in the next EVO... right now Nando and Messpower are fighting for the #1 position; we have a ranking and currently working in a new website/forum only for SC community in DR. A lot of our players wants to play against US players, but we need another event like the last Nationals, that helps people travel to the tournaments.

I live about an hour away from SD, and 45 min from the PC Arena scene which had NoFaceKiller, KingSalmon/Tomahawk, Calijared, and a few new players. Haven't checked on them in a while though after NFK retired. I'd be down for some SD action but one other person would be nice to make the trip worth it, as I already get an excellent connection playing you online iirc.

damn dude...Id kill to have some more peeps down here to play with. B1llyBluT00f is my cousins husband. He and I played SC2 religiously together at least once a week. SC4 came out, and I just surpassed him and put way more time and effort into this game. I can get him to come over but it aint gonna be any competition for us, but hes cool people. It be cool to see you and NoFace in person and get my fuckin ass handed to me.

Duma is around somewhere, he said hed be down to play, but hes all about Tekken6 and would just come play SC4 for the lulz. Have no idea where Pendragon is, been tryin to get in touch with him since this thread came out. But Im working on it!

Ok, I did not see anybody but Lobo say sometehing about unbanning the banned chars. So you don't have to worry about that. I do have some concern though because Nori is a stubborn old fool so it has a probablity of coming up in the future. So I would like to take this opportunity now to express my deepest feelings on the issue:

If you ever entertain the idea of unbanning the banned characters I will be your worst nightmare. Do not mention unbanning, or side tourneys allowing them, or anything involving the banned characters to "make a point". You'd not only lose all credibility for being a leader, you'd also ruin the morale and piss off the veterans and others that came back specifically because those characters were banned. Put your petty egos aside and leave them banned. I say that to all of you.
 
No offense but I laughed so hard at this! You could have kept that threat to yourself. It's kind of tasteless when its targeted at someone who is gonna be part of probably the biggest movement/push for this game.

You would be quite surprised at the stance I personally took and the reasons for such on bans but in the end I'm personally with whatever the group decides ultimately.

Keep the threats to yourself. For the record though I will be more than happy to defend Nori under any circumstance as long as its not something that he would need to be corrected on cause its so stupid. So in my eyes u threaten him u threaten me.

it doesn't matter what you think! you'd be an idiot and ultimately ruin the scene to change the rules. do you know what a nightmare is? change the rules and find out!
 
I have a couple questions and concerns...
Concerning the Hilde/Algol bans, are they going to be up in discussions/have they been up again for discussion? If so, who's deciding the decision because I've heard people saying the decision rests in four people's hands. My concern over this; shouldn't a decision effecting the community be decided by the community?

I understand that, for whatever reason, Hilde/Algol bans are still a touchy subject...but there must be a way to compromise within the community. As someone very new to the offline community, I still feel my opinion matters seeing as I'm making efforts to travel, especially seeing as NorCal willl be holding tournaments. Also, I will be making efforts to travel to the EC when/if this revival is successful.

Any help with my questions would be greatly appreciated.
 
Those characters are so banned except in Texas, where we adapt to whatever the players feel.
Hilde is being kept in a cage for Quakecon, and algol and yoda are pretty much lose...because it's a free tournament and anyone can join.

As far as the rest of the community, only lobo has brought up the unban discussion, which seems to be stirring people up. Good job there lobo.
 
Actually, this wasn't just lobo, the banning talk came up when S-U brought up the bans while fighting Jaxel back. Why he did so was pretty suspect, and lobo took it to mean that. This lead to SU asking a couple people about the bans, and KrayzieCD bringing up the fact that SU had talked to him about it in chat. So maybe lobo brought it up, but there was a discussion regardless.

As far as bans go, I really don't care if you feel the ban is wrong, and that hilde is a completely unbroken character. Unbanning them is the wrong way to go if only because of the fact the same bullshit will be brought upon the SC community as it was before. We're talking about 2 of the top reasons why people look down on SC: The fact hilde exists, and the fact the community is completely indecisive. If you think hilde unbanning will bring people back, think about how many people we'll be showing yet again that the SC community is completely indecisive. So yes, I do see bringing this up as completely stupid.
 
Enkindu, your threats are meaningless to me seeing as to how nothing you said will actually happen. I know you a long time. You are a nice guy. So talking like an ethug doesn't suit you.

For the live stream tomorrow, at Quakecon, NOBODY is banned. Bonus, algol, hilde, custom, star wars and ninja turtles, all allowed. To be quite honest, this is what we decided as a group in the thread. If you like the game, watch the stream and support it. If you want to complain, there are plenty of tools on google to start a blog.
 
TX do you guys have a good link to quakecon stream? is sc4 gonna be streaming? many of us would like to watch.
 
No. They said we were but nope. Wah wah waahhhhhhh....... I was told it was taken care of this time. I'll take care of that next time.

As for the banns. Now with this new forum that looks like SRK's. Why don't we set up a POLL for the Banns and go from there. Leave the rule set till the End of the year and then come 1/1/2011. We go off of the Poll. Rules for the upcoming Major's and Nats. HHmm.....
 
Bboy leave that shit alone bruh. It's already been shown that whole voting and asking every joe schmo what he thinks won't work. I'm really disappointed in y'all down there. I don't like nothing I heard about what happened down in my beloved TX. I can't say much as I wasn't there but Angel y'all talk a lot, step up dude, fuck a next time.
 
I beat 2 Hildes and an Algol at the past tourney. Out of 45, I got 4th. Yet, there is still bitching about these chars. Blows my mind
