I'd say this is rather important, to all of us that play games. If the federal government is able to jam it's nose into the gaming world, games as we know it will cease to exist.

Even if it does pass, I doubt the gov't will do anything drastic. They might tone down the violence in some games, but I don't see it going past that.

Pass? This isn't Congress. Eight (or maybe by then nine) judges of the United States Supreme Court will rule whether or not the law is valid. And there ain't nothin' an petition is going to do to influence their decision one way or another.
