Getting Used To Things.

Fighting games in general are like that. The amount of replay value inside a fighting game increases immensely when you set yourself to purpose of learning the details of the game. Unlike alot of other games, the satisfaction doesn't come from collecting the single player content (though it is fun, for a time). It comes from learning skills, then matching those skills against other people.

That increases the replay value to the point where you can play the game game for YEARS. Even if it isn't your cup of tea, Street Fighter 2 Super Turbo (or just ST) for short, is still played in tournaments even 16 years later; just as an example of the lasting value the genre has once you crack it open.

Whoa. Im just hoping SC V is going to bring some of the games old modes back. I love SC IV and everything, but aside from the regular, all it had was Tower Of Souls. ): I didnt like that all that much. I liked the Adventure Mode (Forgot Name) from SC 2 and the Chronicle Of Swords from SC 3. It made fighting even more intresting. And youre right. Fighting games have crazy replay value. If my PS2 still functioned properly, id play SC2 and SC3 more often.

I am just LOVING the destructive abilities and opportunities Asta has at his disposal. I just gotta figure out the right times to execute them. Lol....and memorizing them..

Let me see if I can find you some more good Asta videos. Even if I link videos where the Asta player loses; I'm trying to expose you to different tactics (and expose you to things good Asta players commonly do). Hang on a few minutes.

Eli123 (Ivy) vs Partisan (Asta) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdEjPNopNyY

Both these players will be at Summer Jam, and Partisan is an online forum mod.

KDZ (Asta) vs Something Unique (Kilik) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuSj48srgd4

KDZ was at one time the best player in the US; and SU was considered the best Kilik in the US at the time of filming. KDZ chose Astaroth as a counter-pick to SU's Kilik because it's a better matchup than Cassandra vs Kilik is.

Saitoh (Asta) vs Dina (Sophitia) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLrKrJ6fPdA

Once again, Asta is the world's best Asta, and Dina is one of the top players in the world as well. This one might give you some insight on dealing with faster characters.

That should keep you tied over for now.

Oooo. I see, Partisan is a Asta player too. Mabye i should consult him also. I see 66K is a good move for RO's. I could see in the Saitoh Vs. Dina.

For what it's worth I love enthusiasm sparking and taking off in terms of learning.

Oh and Idle...

So Nowww, I know i have enough of it in my sig, but.... A S T A R O T H F T W ! ! ! >;] :sc1ast1:

I'd also watch a few vids involving Jag the Gemini - he's a German Asta player and a bloody good one at that.

x_x; So many good Asta Players. Anyone know the notation for the kick attack that pops up downed players and readies them for air/mid-air grab attacks? I think that would help me out alot.

2B+K.
If you do it to a non-grounded opponent, mix up standing and crouch throws as your opponent knows a throw is coming =)

Yea....I just about love this community to death. ;] you guys are so helpful and friendly! I really appreaciate it!
