Good Games Thread

Xephukai, I'm not trying to start an argument with you but you need to start playing offline or go to a tournament or something. You clearly don't understand what works and doesn't work offline. The fact that you think single B's are lag tactics, and other things like Mitsu's 2KB being a lag tactic, and that it, along with any other low can be reacted to offline therefore making EVERY low a lag tactic, shows that you truly don't know what a real lag tactic is.

As an online player if you look at it literally and consider everything that online enhances as a lag tactic, then there is no avoiding lag tactics when you play online. Especially at 4 bars. If you truly want minimal lag tactics without the frame trap ones, then commit yourself to 5 bar games only. Since they don't really work there. Otherwise you'll be able to find any little lag tactic that occurred and use it as an excuse.

The way I see lag tactics is if it works offline, but works better online, then I don't care about it. But if it doesn't work offline, but works online, then I avoid using it. And this mainly only counts for certain lows and UB's. What I consider a lag tactic low is any low that is i25 or slower. The majority of people offline can not react to lows faster than i25. Lizardman's 1K is i23 and from my experience offline, people hardly ever consistently block it on reaction. Other lows such as Mitsu 2KB, Amy 2B+K (both i18) etc can also not be reacted to in the heat of battle. On the other hand, moves slower than i25 can be reacted to offline with relative ease, but for the most part can not be reacted to online. So the lows slower than i25 are the lag tactics that I avoid. Even if they are just chip damage, I avoid them because they would be reacted to offline. Single B's? That is an oldschool offline strategy that works well at the end of the match when the opponent has almost no life.

Anyways I just made this post to show you what the perspective on lag tactics from someone who mainly plays offline is. Because I find it funny that someone who only plays online is trying to lecture a respected oldschool offline player (shadowG) on how the game should be played.

On topic, GGs to Partisan and TidalLeaf on XBL. It's always great playing you guys.

On topic: GGs to Woahhzz last night. I know we only live like 6 blocks from each other and can play offline, but online I’m a beast.

Off topic: I would have said something sooner if I actually had mod powers, but seeing every thread in the Online subforum turning into a bitchfest is getting ridiculous, especially in this thread where you are supposed to praise someone for good games. Thank goodness I don't have a bat so I can introduce y'all to that real single B.

GGs to those i played last night in the MadBongerRoom.

ive been jonesin for some calibur lately so you scrubs will prob see me more often yuuup

Good games to HajimeOwari. Not to make excuses(Since I probably would've lost to you regardless), but I haven't played SCIV in quite a while and I was really messing up my inputs and just generally doing stupid crap. Yoshimitsu's 8K is the bane of my existence.

i apologize to derailing the thread but back on topic..........

STFU neverdies09141582842-0=-285-23 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I've been playing on-line too much if I get mentioned here. >_< heh. GGs. =)

Yes, back on topic. Obviously, that includes, another guy who knows zero about me, or what I do, except that someone trolled me, pretended to be me in a chatroom, and I defended myself against it,....telling me to "stfu".

Figures. I get it. You get skill in a video game and that automatically deems you the intellectual authority. ....goodness.

In any case, I'll stfu. No problem. I've already proven my point trillions of times over. It's only a matter of minutes before this post is deleted anyways.
