Idk what you're talking about, I've just been talking about how bad it is for maxi when you know the character and can punish hard.

Don't get the wrong idea, I think about both the character's options and how I think might plan on using them. I'd love to talk about how I think he plays but I don't wanna say too much, so I don't blame you for thinking that. There's just so much more to talk about when it comes to "concentrating on the character" with maxi.

Still, don't underestimate knowing matchups. There is serious depth in matchups... spacing optimally and managing risk/reward is very complex and is completely character specific once you start fine-tuning your play. But you wouldn't know anything about that, would you, you UB/214B/whiff grab into launcher spammer you ;)
 
I have played a good amount of good maxi players online. PSN surprisingly has many good maxi players. But maxi is terrible, easy as hell to punish, and whatever option a player selects it's punishable or gi able.

Now what makes KrayzieCD's maxi so different? In a word..."Fear." I think that's what most of you feel when you play his Astaroth.

Fear might be a reason too. But Maxi can be played safe and from what I have seen Krayzie plays maxi really safe and unorthodox. 3Ag 1B 3k 66k 33A 33k 22K mixups 2A 44k 236k 88A throws! efficient 4b useage 3B RO A against the ones who dont punish RO A on 3B block. Top notch spacing and punish game. Maxi is actually semi decent if u play him more neutral and not punishable and be the one that punish instead. I cant do it myself I can just see that it works :D.

Dude you just listed every single Maxi move I love in a nutshell! Quit telling my secrets lol! All those moves are better than people think lol.
 
Maxi has some really solid pokes, good throws, and trash talks almost as much as CD seems to. The character fits his profile =p. Also Maxi has some decent range and good Gauge damage which since sophitia by nature has to turtle a bit Maxi has a few tiny advantages. That's just my opinion. No offence to Signia, I regrettably haven't played you yet and I played my first really good Sophitia today(outside of when people I know from here pick her). I've heard a lot of great things about you but Krayzie makes Maxi work. Still not sure you won't be able to pressure him into a switch. Godspeed!

On Topic: Today I hopped on despite my controller being busted. I saw lobo's room but didn't feel like fighting someone I can't beat normally with a controller that refuses to work too. I came across someone's room with a very good Sophitia and Setsuka(but since they didn't abuse anything the lag destryoed their game with her). I'll edit the name in since we exchanged ggs and a few messages.
 
GG's to SlayerX64R for insight and fights. Just fighting I learned alot about where and how I need to improve.
 
3B is still maxis best move there are only 2 TCs off the top of my head that shut everything in RO down 3A and umbrella
