My friend was over and we were having a mini competition to see who could do more iMCF's in a row (i think the most i got was 5) but he showed me a way that worked for him was to kind of exagerate the motion with your right thumb and kind of let go of the controller for a second, swinging your arm in an upwards motion. I thought it was pretty ridiculous but decided to try it anyways. Long story short, i kind of let go of the controller and it flew backwards right into my crotch. I then proceeded to play the next few matches with an ice pack in my pants. :/

Anyways while i'm here is there anyone who could become a sort of tutor for me. I'm getting better with yoshi but i'm still lost on what to do in certain situations.

you smacked yourself in the nuts......thats fuckin epic win!!! good stuff.

im not on psn or i would offer to help you, but i just had to comment on your nut smack!!! good one!! wish i copulda seen that shit!!

well... first off...I think if you get better leverage then you can hit yourself harder in the nuts... BUT, if you wanted help with iMCF and not making sure you can't procreate then I can try and help (as well as telling you to go to the yoshi forums and checking out a few things there about the move...neo put up a tutorial and everything.. I think its on Youtube as well).
Okay so...first off...the right hand. Put your upper left corner of your thumb onto the middle of the X button (a little more to the upper left of the X button is better than just simply dead center). Now its more of a FLICK than a SLIDE in my opinion. As they say "its all in the wrist"... so you should be flicking your wrist to the upper right part of your controller while at the same time flicking your thumb so that it STOPS hitting the X button and STARTS hitting the Y button. If you did the motion correctly the tip of your thumb should almost (or actually touching works too) your pointer finger. A good way to practice to make sure you are doing this motion correctly is to go to training and pick setsuka. Crouch with her and press in the 3 direction while still crouching. Holding the 3 button, try and do your slide motion with your right hand. If you are doing it correctly you should be doing her Just umbrella. If you are not getting her just umbrella then you won't be able to be getting iMCF.

Now that you have the timing down on the right hand, go to the left hand. This is simply pressing down at the same time as starting your motion. A good way for me to do this i've seen is to have your thumb in a position so the tip of your thumb is not touching the stick at all and instead its more of the middle of it thats being used to move the stick. This will be a flicking motion downwards with your left thumb. Don't worry as much about the speed of the downward movement as much as making sure you are hitting the 2 position, because the way that the controller of xbox and ps3 are set up, sometimes what FEELS like a 2 can be more like a 2.5 and will sometimes be registered as a 3...kinda bitch...i know.

Now that you have your left and right hands all good..combine..which is just puttign the timing down so you start doing both flicks at the same time. Now jsut sit there doing it again and again and again and you'll be ALLL good. Also...another way to get it in a match better.... is to start by giving your guy a little step forward...so tap towards the opponent, then do your imcf. This will let your guy do a little step forwards at which point you will pull out your dick punch (kinda funny how you dick punched yourself instead of your opponent btw...lol) and a lot of the time the quick step and having not attacked will land you a counter hit on anopponent that is trying to hit you while you are running towards them. And the move is even EASIEr to get off atack buffers such as 6A of BB.

I play on xbox 360, but the method works the same with a PS3 controller from what I've personally noticed (although I do it better on xbox simply cuz its the system I'm used to I guess). So have fun with your dick punch...and try not to iMCF yourself in the nuts again....if it causes crumple stun on a FIGHTING CHICK? imagine what it must be doing to some guy drinking a redbull and playing a video game :P

Wow thanks for all the info but i meant more of a general yoshi tutor than an iMCF tutor. Oh and X is the same thing as square and Y is the same thing as triangle right?

lol..DOH...all that writing for nothing...lol. Anyway, yes.. they are equivalent. I'd give you pointers and play wit ya..but you are psn and I'm live. If you have any specific questions I could answer them for you though! I'm tryin to find things to do instead of stressing out/studying right now so helping someone else get better is a fine choice of time waster ..lol.

A VERY general help to start could just be: 1) go into DGF stance after a knockdown. If you learn that they tend to either roll while on the ground instead of getting up quickly or if they attack to get up, then instead just hit them once or twice with 3B while on the ground...then do a quick step and grapple (usually people will only let themselves get hit once or twice with 3B on the ground before they decide to get up to block it..at which point they are yours for a 50/50 grapple mix-up..and the step is just to give them more time to get up after the second 3B). If they DO get up quick...then you mix together B while in DGF (hits mid) k (hits low) and grapple (...its a grapple). So there is some good wake techniques right there.
2) Don't worry too much about his iMCF. While its useful...its blocked... a LOT. BUT!! even only getting a 2A out of it wil make the opponent stop what they are doing...and now that you are in fc...you can usually get 3k in on them a few times before they learn better. So blocked imcf into fc 3k is a must. Along with generally making sure to use fc 3k a lot (ifc 3k of course being better).
3) Learn to impact. obvious this is important with ANY character. But yoshi has a GREAT first little tap step. So impact..tap forward...grapple (or if they tend to duck right away then learn to do 3B to those people because you'll get a free 50+ damage off 3b juggles/techs).
4) Yoshi is a tech MONSTER (*munch munch munch...me want COOOKIIIESS!!). Anyway, learn to find times to use 8A+B. The move usually freezes people for a second, which is usually more than enough to get the 8A+B2 to connect (which then also puts you in a wake-up game position...YAY!). One of my favorite things to do to the unknowing is to go 8A+B2, 2k, 8A+B2, 2k. The 2k makes them decide to stand up and then they are frozen when you start to do the unblockable because they are so busy looking for blocking a low or a high. Also, try and tech after landing a:B+K in a juggle...that is...if the opponent tends to stand back up...lay down without rolling...or roll backwards, then you'll be able to hit them for 75 more damage with 236B unblockable. If they tend to get up by tech rolling to the side..or rolling on the ground, then use 8A+B4 instead and you'll hit them with that instead. There are a lot of other techs..look in teh yoshi section.

um yea... but so i don't write more stuff u might already know.. ask specifics how about :)
