iCS/CS and SS information

What I want to know is if that speed can be replicated on a Dual Shock 3! I'm using that hold 8 with analog, 22 on D-pad, slide analog to 4, 666 on D-pad method. For some reason, I mostly perform successful iCS online. I know there are more Clean Hits on the move now (woo-hoo for that), but I would like to learn iCS simply... BECAUSE I WANT TO! >:D

Yes, the speed can be replicated on a DualShock 3! That's the controller I use.
It's true that CS is better than before thanks to the rising of Clean Hits, but iCS still is a better version of the move so mastering it surely is a + in every Ivy player's game. The flash is badass too :X

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I just can't do CS for my life this time around. I want to use Ivy as a secondary but is it worth it if I can't do CS? I know that's not the be all and end all to Ivy but opinions? Of course, I'm still going to keep trying to do it.

I think CS is a very important tool for 2 reasons:

1) It is much more effective than any of her normal throws: impressive damage and only 9 frame window to escape it.

2) If you show the opponent your ability to use CS, he will be conditioned to avoid being grabbed ducking more than he usually does and this will give you tactical advantage over him.

I don't know if I am being clear enough...I'm sure there are other posts about the value of CS in this thread so maybe those can be more helpful

Well you pieces of shit...I did an iCS doing the analog+dpad method!! She does the laugh and says some rather unsportsmanlike comment, but I can't believe I did it. Like 5 times in a row...the only problem is I was in a "zone" while doing it and now I can't remember what triggered it...because the buttons on the training mode were not precise at all.

hey black, the way I started to learn, was to buffer it, an nice way to learn this, is 6B+K and as the opponent comes to the end of being dragged, throw the input in as cleanly as possible, make sure you do the 666B+G
takes a while to get it, but once you can buffer, you can use it freely

damn ics is soo hard on a stick, i switched to controller for a few minutes and i dont know what you guys are complaining about its sooo easy. ugh man its really frustrating when you get it once than never again

Anyone know any way around on a stick? it will be helpfull! also ring: you should add the techniques or "cheats" for cs and ics at the front, it will help alot of people

Thanks, I'll try that and see if I can get it to work. I'm sure I keep messing up the 666B+G part and end up with 66[6]B+G instead. Thanks again for the tips though, lab time for me ^.^ :)
To prevent the 66[6]B+G screw up either input an additional 6, or make sure the third 6 and B+G are input at the exact same time. It won't come out if the third necessary 6 is a [6].

Don't forget the laughter. However, I liked the one from SCIV's Japanese actress a little more than this one... But it's still a privilege when iCS succeeds to hear it anyway. ^^

Yes, exactly. Your input should look like this:

:2::8::2::8::4::6::6::6::6h::B+G:

Basically, just add one more 6 at the end, it makes things easier. If it still doesn't work then it means you are doing it too slow.

You should be able to get a normal CS with the last 6 and B+G at the same time given the video. If it's not working then yes, you need to do the input faster.

That's fastest possible iCS with a single frame for each input. I only linked it for the video example of the game accepting CS with the last directional input with B+G at the same time, not because that's the speed to need to do it normally.
