iCS/CS and SS information

And that is good and all, but wouldnt it annoy you if someone could perform the move you do in 3 buttons? With a chance to JF too?

You could actually alter your Arcade stick so it automaticly put something in. You program 1-frame-iCS and no one will ever know. :P.

P.S Soulassassin's computer broke he'll be back soon.

When you do an iCS for real there is usually a little step forward, if it just comes out instant that is usually an indicator that someone is cheating or they are the Flash.

I've seen someone buffer iCS and use the B+G to cancel the step
so it looked like it was from standing with the tiniest shuffle

If you play on a pad, the easiest way to do CS it to rotate the analog stick twice starting at 2 and ending at 6 (so 2369874123698741236 and then quickly move your thumb to d-pad and tap 66+B+G.

As for the two hand method, if you hold 2 on analog and press 88 on dpad, it will automatically register as 2828.

I tried the first suggestion a couple times and nothing happened. Do I have to be very fast?

For iCS, you have to be pretty darn fast. Regular CS is much more lenient. You just need to make sure you get every directional input in in the proper order. Random other inputs are okay during it as long as the 2824666 is there (i.e. it still works if you do 28741246666B+G because the necessary inputs are there).

One of the most common mistakes is not inputting the three 6s in a way the game registers it. To work around this you can input it as 28246666G instead. The extra 6 should solve that problem.

I know sometimes when I train, I get the correct inputs without CS because I'm too slow. Another problem might be that I'm pressing the final 6 instead of tapping or I'm not pressing B+G at the same time.

I tried bushindu's suggestion and I wasn't fast enough.

For me, I get iCS 87% of the time, if I tried. I use this method,
1. Hold down 2 on analog (with your left thumb)
2. Now, with your right thumb, move it to the d-pad press up (8) twice
3. Rotate the analog with your left thumb to 4
4. Release the your thumb from another, then do 666 b+g
This method may seem hard, but its not. If you understand, try to do this everyday and iCS will just naturally come out.

Does that work in a fight? If does seen kinda awkward to do, but it is iCS so it has to be fast. I don't think you can guard during it though

Yea, it works in a fight, but you got to be fast. And yea, buffering iCS through guard with this method would take a lot of practice. But I don't know any Ivy players that can buffer iCS through guard. My suggestion is go to training and buffer CS through nothing. Go faster and faster using this method as you go, then iCS will come out.

Smartypants' method is not extremely difficult, however it does require practice. And, to clarify, yes:
That's why a lot of Ivy player hava guard as a left bumper/trigger as well.
I use a left bumper as my guard button. I find it easier to use it when performing iCS.

Edit: Don't beat yourself up over it if you cannot perform iCS in training mode, it is much harder offline to perform than online due to the lag you get online. It seems to give you a little more time to input it.

I have a question for any stick players here. I just went back to stick from pad and I'm having massive trouble with CS live tried two different grips and neither of them work, and they both are training on my arm. What grip you you guys use, and any tips would be much appreciated. I would put up a video but I have no luck with my computer.

I always input CS as 282874666 on stick. Getting iCS on stick is close to impossible so don't bother with it.

I wouldn't say it's impossible. I get a similar input to yours on my stick and get iCS about 1-2% of the time. If I go nuts in training, I get it about 15% of the time... or so.

I find the trick is the 4. Spending too long on it means iCS is nullified. I suggest just keeping a limp wrist on the 2828 and then snap into 666 in one motion from the 4.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert, seeing as I couldn't get 1 normal CS just a few pages ago, but once CS is DOWN on the stick, iCS is less than impossible.

Let's say improbable.
