Awesome thread. Her character specific combos/setups/techtraps/etc. are piling up; I'm losing track of what is possible against alot of chars, cuz she has far too many char spec stuff.
There's also the 3B,6B8 consistency and the 1B BE, 6B8K frame-trap character specific stuff.
 
If you don't care about this list and think Ivy isn't "balanced" for competitive play why bother asking for CaS nonsense?

If there is one thing that Evo has showed us it's that this game is really balanced and even though characters might be better than others, it's still isn't impossible to win.

I completely forgot about that! Probably because I already have that one down in my notes somewhere. I'll find it and post it first thing when I wake up.

Also, "Final" mysteriously has the same exact birthday as notorious 8wayrun troll, Neo_Remires. I wouldn't waste your time on him.

On that note, I will not be testing CaS or mimics, because some of this stuff is not just size-specific, but stance/animation specific (e.g. character's hitboxes are different because they have different stun animations).

Kinetic do you mind testing how 6KB hits on block and on hit on all chars?

There aren't many things you can mix-up with Ivy so there isn't a thread but I can give you some help briefly.

When in a match I first start off by seeing how opponents react to certain things, such as:
  • Do they duck from fear of a grab after 6B+K?
  • Do they duck after getting up from a 6B8 air grab?
  • Do they know how to step the right way to get around her 44A+B?
  • Do they ukemi after you use 6B8 BE on a midair opponent?
And some other stuff such as that. For example, if they duck after 6B+K then use 2A+B then when they get up they'll be too scared of ducking so you can get a free grab.
I think with Ivy it's all about mind games.
 
Lol I find it hard to do iCS without my opponent seeing me input it due to the fact you can't buffer it :p so I just use normal CS which is buffer-able.

But I'll do it after 6B8K successful hits or after doing 1K ~ 9B ~ iCS/CS
