Sure GEMINI sure...you pick which you want to block 1A or GS KK and if I do 1A into 1A instead of 1A GS KK...then you can say that about his ringout options.

Asta's 22[K] should be added aswell, I don't try too much to throw people when my back is against the wall, especially guys that break B throws easily.

22B4 A+G is pretty ugly when your back is against the edge.

3A+B Followups?

Been looking at this move. Is there anything solid that will hit after? I know it seems to be situational after a wall splat. I started to mess around with it after a CH 3A. (it connects if they dont break the stun)

A nifty wall combo with this move would be 3B - (wall) - 3 K,A - 3A+B

And as said before CH 3A - 3A+B As long as they dont shake the stun

Anyway...what are my followup options?

Anyone know any situations where a ground throw opportunity is guaranteed? I don't mean guaranteed as in unbreakable, I just mean a guaranteed opportunity to attempt a ground throw.

You can get a free 1A+B or 1B+G after these moves (as long as they dont grapple break) -

Running K (slide)
CH 44B
WS K
CH 66A (Though I think using B to juggle is better than the ground throw, one of my favs is to use A+G after the launch and then use 2A+G or 2B+G with either a wall hit or a tech trap.)
CH 6B (Stun first with CH 3A and the CH 6B is guaranteed afterwards. Mix up the 1A+G_B+G with the 2[K], 22B afterwards to keep them guessing.)
22[K], A, B (22[K] stuns but doesn't hit. Same result as CH 6B.)

Also 2A+K tracks so if a person likes to roll on the ground use this to get them.

There are a few more out there but I havn't played in the last week so I forget most of them. Remember to mix up using A or B to make them guess with the grapple breaks.

Dude, I love fighting Amy with Asty. Wait for an opening and hit with CH 4B. Most people get right up and I get em with 2A+G_B+G. If they stay down 1A+G_B+G and if they roll 2A+K. Also when she does that stupid fake high then low attack (see it coming almost everytime, depends how sleepy and/or drunk I am) I block it then use either crouching Bull Rush (WC 3K) or CH WS K then 1A+G_B+G.

honestly i say your best option would be to dash in slightly to get in range and do 4 [A+B], IIRC the opponent can escaped just about all follow ups except the move i listed by holding block, it makes all other moves not connect, unless thats been changed or something

nothing is gaurenteed after ch 3a+b so 4[a+b] is your best bet. it can be avoided by jumping backwards but a lot of the cast will still get hit, just not for full damage.

that or go for gauge damage, or try 44b/3b mind games or something

is there a difference in when you can use 2G+A_B compared to 3G+A_B whats the difference besides he does the little jump thingy? if so what moves put the opponent into a crouch to use them as currently i only really use them off wall combos or by training the opponent to duck. sorry if this has been answered before but i couldnt find it.

No difference, other than for catching people that use moves that are low with crouch properties, you can jump over their attacks and snag them.

there is no difference other than the jump.

2a+g_b+g is obviously faster and is used when you see someone duck or use a move which ends up in crouch.

3a+g_b+G jumps over lows so its more of a prediction thing or used on strings which have lows that can be jumped such as amys 3ba

check the low grabs thread

as a basic outline, most characters stuff like 2k can be low grabbed on block, stuff which ends in tech crouch can be low grabbed if the frames are there or if they whiff. but yea check those threads, theres lots of stuff which you can punish which you wouldnt expect.

you're guarenteed a low grab after 2 and 9[b+k] on block, you have to be pretty close on both of those though. that and they're kinda slow crappy moves anyway

also check tech traps which is in the combo thread, most of astas tech traps involve low grabs.
 
Backturned options

It's so good though, BT B+K is 0 on block and i12, most people can't interrupt between them or time between the whiffs properly. The other thing to do with it (besides spam till it hits, which is what I usually do too) is spam till it pushes them back, which it does rather well, then just turn around since they're far as ojste mentioned.

Also remember, Asty has backturned grapples. It's even in his movelist! You might want to try BT B+K (on blocK), BT A+G_B+G if you know they expect another BT B+K. Although, I still prefer BT 2K, 2A.
