Just Attacks

Know, just practice getting JF Twist from crouching, then start doing it from 214
that way you will get an idea of the speed req

FC3aB - Do it faster. No seriously. If you're just getting a regular twister, go faster. Still not working? Yeah? Even faster then.

Exactly, if you feel like you are doing it fast and its not coming out, it means you probably arent doing it as fast as you could.

I recommend Bushindu's tip because its what i used. Manually crouching while holding 3 then doing a:B. Its easier to do at first without the 2143 input messing you up.

you dont have to do it that fast, lol trust me I could throw two jf umbrellas in one airborne combo,
practice from crouch, it may help to have some cream on your thumb, to prevent blisters

The A button has to be released before you press B within 3 frames I think? So:
Frame 1: Press A
Frame 2: Release A
Frame 3: Press B
More like this;).
2 frames, so:
Frame 1: Press A (Release A)
Frame 2: (Release A) Press B

So transition from A to B must be in 1 frame.
And there is no need to have special frame just to releasing A.

I was just trying to demonstrate that A must be released first. =/

Thanks for the heads up though man, I learned something new =D

Did this. I get the FC 3a:B 90% of the time now! Time to work on 2143a:B...

I also found what helps me a lot is to only press the side of the buttons (on X/Square towards A/X, and Y/Triangle to B/Circle) so that there's a bigger gap between the button areas when i do the twister slide to allow for the A release.

My list is pretty similar to Echo01's list:

Hardest to Easiest:

1) agB
2) 1B : B
3) Sakura Twister
4) 1A : A : A
5) FC 3B : B
6) BT B+K : B

Of course, these are based on what just frames I can get down with the most consistency. I STILL cannot figure out the timing on the agB just frame. I'm probably just not hitting the buttons quickly enough.

I think I'm going to just forget 1B:B exists, drilled JFs for about two hours last night and in everything besides this, I had good consistency. Also, I recently realised you dont have to slide ag:B like a madman to get the JF, you can practically take your sweet time and still get that pretty flash.

Practice 1B:B more then - I'm still reliably using it as a whiff punisher in casuals and tournament from a successful step. I'm only using JF Twister in the same situation when it will give me a RO as that's a move there's no chance of missing.

It's easy on an 8-button stick. Here is my config

A B K []
G A G B

Glide the second row and you get perfect agB JF.
He's right actually.
I have an identical setup and I always rattle off a couple of ag:B's in my button checks. =/
I see you guys have taken a liking to my setup. I should probably get around to explaining how this, incidentally, makes 1A: A: A about 2x easier, too.

Are you P linking the A inputs?? You sly dog!
Teehee. It totally works. I know there's supposed to be a "lockout" window (i.e. you can't just mash A and expect the JF to come out), but if you try to time your inputs, while hitting A twice (instead of once), I've noticed a significant increase in 1A: A: A success rates (from ~75% to ~98%). The game only "reads" one input (i.e. even though I hit A a total of 6 times, only three register in the input display). What I do know is that I can "feel" the JF is a lot easier when performing this technique.

Could be a placebo effect, but I think this is actually effective.

Plinks are for scrubs and Daigo *hides*. Do it like a MAN! ;-)
Actually, not P-Linking when it is an available feature in the game is, definitively, "scrubby". If you can do it, you should. Not doing it doesn't help anything.

Unfortunately, my layout isn't really conducive to 1B:B PLinks :(.

Edit: For the sake of clarity in terms, I should point out that this isn't really a "p-link" in the sense of how the term is used in SF. A more apt SF analogy would be to describe it as a "double-tap", as with inputting reversal shoryukens, SPDs, or supers, etc..

You can double tap the second JF in 1A :A :A but not the first, as far as I've tried.

You can also double tap 1B:B, but since it's a one frame link now, you'll only get if if you're 2 frames early or on time, which really screws up my timing.
