Leixia next patch 1.04 update???

Yeah I guess you're right. She needs a damage buff of like 30% and increased attack speed too. What was I thinking.


Yeah... 30% is more than excessive. That would make her incredibly overpowered.

Instead of applying damage/speed increases to every one of her moves, it would be better to make selective changes to specific moves. For instance, 1A could use a speed increase to make it more effective for CH fishing. The Attack Throw on 6BA could use +1 on hit so 6KK becomes consistent against the whole cast. Small changes like these have a big impact on gameplay.

Damage wise, increasing damage on her launchers by 3-5 points would be excellent. Maybe throw 3-5 more on to moves like 3A+B and 6KK and she will be in great shape.
 
Okay, so you're in favor of all double CE's being removed. I can respect that, but all things considered, her comeback potential was murdered when they took out her double CE. That one thing alone made her upper-mid tier and tournament-competitive. Without buffing or changing anything else, this one thing could make her fully viable again.

If Namco is willing to actually go through and give her the time to make REAL changes (including continuity on all double CE's), I'd be more than willing to go without it, but the cheap, quick fix seems to be their MO so far.

Does 140 damage for 2 CEs worth of meter seem like a fair trade to you? Because I'd be wanting extra value from her meter personally. :/

But yeah, as I've stated before, moves like 3B, FC 3B, 3B+K etc. need slightly more damage, but an overall 30% damage increase would just be absurd.
 
30% buff means the opponent is now operating at a little under 77% life. Pretty insane request, but serves as good reminder of how absurd some buff requests can be.

The only time I can see 30% increase justified is if it is only applied to a select few underused low damage pokes, like if your 1A did 10 damage, and asking for it to be 13 damage may not be something completely unreasonable.

I don't know...I think a 50% increase on the evasion speed of WR B is more than alright, considering they slowed evasion speed, slowed it down, killed the guard break damage, nerfed two combos from it, made it launcher unsafe, and killed an entire version of her aggro. Just sayin. Lol.

She needs a signature. Most characters in the game have things that you absolutely no matter what don't want to get hit by. Leixia...that was her WR B BE. What happened to that? After that it was her CE CE...what happened to that?

Having a signature option helps mindgames.

Worst comes to worse, face facts guys.
We're being told to use safety to frame trap, and our best used option off our launcher does 40 damage....​
When certain other characters up until now had infinites and apparently has a ToD combo. And SOME people actually thought that was OK, some of the SAME people who think Leixia needs no help whatsoever.​
We're doomed, unless we can overcome this to win something. If we overcome this, than I can guarantee no help from Namco. What a rock and a hard place.​

Isn't 3A+B her signature?
 
nope but the K after 3B+K is. don't know why the second hit is considering it rarely lands.

I feel like the stun on (ground) 3B+K needs to come back. It's silly that one of her signature moves is made to be teched every single time (if the opponent knows what they're doing).

At the very least, give it stun on CH so it's useful for going under highs.
 
Even before the patch, and including clean hits, WR B BE was her signature. A signature IMO is a move or combo that's the one thing you have to get around and avoid at all costs.
in this game signatures are the "Clean Hits". like mitsu's flying sword move and sieg's 3B.

I know what clean hits are, but just because Namco Bandai said it was the move you should be using, doesn't mean it's true. For instance, the K on 3B+KK is generally awful. WR B BE was her obstacle. Which is why it should be her signature. Avoid at all costs...
 
Sometimes I think about what Leixia would be if she was Viola. I guarantee you 3B+KK would be untechable and ground stun, so 3B, 3B+KK, iWR B BE, B+K, CE would be a combo. Haha.

emphasis on "was." now it's another high risk low reward move because of the delay on everything.

don't forget that most if not all her vertical moves would have some tracking to them. tired of that 33BB missing just because someone move a hair to the side.

It doesn't really count if it requires meter.

And getting hit by 3A+B is hardly fun. Its only real flaw is its range, and Leixia's range in general is hardly great...
 
Somehow I get the feeling that even if they do actually release another patch Leixia's launchers won't get buffed. I'm basing this on the fact that, if they made 3B do 26 dmg on NH, that'd be like 30 on CH. Meaning characters like Astaroth and NM with their armor would get blown up by 3B. Those two characters have some problems with that move as it is, lol.

Of course you could always say "hey everyone else has launchers that make armor useless" ...and you'd be 100% right.

No.
IMO it only needs to be launcher safe and have 1 of the 2 combos attached.
