New? New to 8wayrun maybe, but not new to the scene. Dood, it's been a while, but I've been conversing with you, Barry, and Marginal since the SC1-2 days. I was most active when Redfoot and Srayer were playing hard (those names ring any bells?). God, that seems forever ago.

EDIT: I just realized Marginal is still using the same avatar.

I also brought back the one I had Shouji made for the same reason Marginal did.

haha I was poking fun at you cuz you're still newer than me and Marg even more so....you really don't think I've forgotten you guys and Srayer, or Redfoot right ;) AND Wen, and Akazukin cha cha and toohectic and Cadard etc etc. Long list.

lol. Those are some names I haven't heard in a long time. But we're getting off topic here. Did I read correctly that AA & BB are back to being safe again on block?
 
BB is still ass but AA is questionable right now as far as being safe or not

I was totally gonna bitch you out for calling me an "old timer", but then I remembered my age.

Well, I'll pray that we get those back. At the very least, I'm hoping A & B will be useful as pokes again.

Is this a string that was introduced in SC4? I've been out of the loop (pun not intended) for a bit. Was it better than 4BB?
 
BB in SC4 was the worst piece of shit BB Maxi has ever had. It is assumed that it is still shitty in SC5, as it looks the same, but I think that the frames would be adjsted.

1B is almost like old school B-> RO but slower of course. I assume soakrates meant 1B-> RO B.

Regardless what matters most is that Maxi now has a decent autoGI from stance, so he can deal with common responses. The more I think of it, the more golden it sounds. Its existence means previously shitty attacks have become much more usable
 
AA is not safe I saw it punished in one of the vids( don't remember which one) even though furzy tried RC AB after

But what about guard canceling the AA->RC? That's what I'm really interested in. I guess I shouldn't be too concerned yet. The game is still a ways out.
 
AAg looks pretty safe from the vids, I hope that's the case. RO B better also be safe too. I'm not a fan of the RC A,B series because the A seems to whiff a lot and the B could be easily GIed but since it costs meter to GI now maybe it won't be that big a deal.

That's the first thing I've read that I actually like. Maxi's technical aspect in SC2 was absolutely perfect. His four way steps and PSL 4 was the best thing given. Take his NCs from part 1 and add that to SC 2 and you would get a very nice character in SC5.

Oh no, we can't have a character that's fluid anymore. We have to poke people like a fucking chimp....He needs a mid ranged poke!! Fuck that. No he doesn't. He needs to be fluid again. The point of being fluid is to confuse. Use the character how he's meant to be played and that's that. If you want to poke, go use Cassandra.

I hope when this game comes out, it's not total shit. SC3 and 4 made me tear the hair out of my head. However, I still have a feeling that there will be absolutely no fluidity YET AGAIN to a character that's meant to flow.

And also.........The demon confusion returns again.
