Not just a combo video...

I finally managed to release this video. It may gets a little repetitive for the amount of set ups for the same thing, but I love how the video turned in the end.

This is not all my job, I got PLENTY help of JohnnyBlaze and Lolo, and lots of information from people from both SC forums.

You Tube link for now:

I hope you all like it.

That was a nice vid. It actually made me consider picking up Maxi, which I'd do if I didn't already have my hands full with 3 characters...<.<;;

that was the sickest maxi video on this site hands down! i love how you use the psl's more than anyone ive seen! thats my new mission is to perfect those psl's.....more vids.....i want more!!!

lol very nice dude, first mastering hwo now moving on to maxi eh? insanely sick vid my friend

props mang very nice things going on in this. Quite a few set ups I neglected and mis-implemented. Thanks for this helpful reminder!

Maxi is all about paper dragon intimidation :)

As stated before, this vid "almost" made me want to play Maxi. Granted, I'm still not going to play him, but props for making Maxi look bad-ass (I've seen far too much Maxi scrub-ness around my area). Good shit indeed.

I think I understood everything, but because of this, I realize that a lot of things that are shown in this video are not really usable in reality.
Some scenarios are more probable than others, so it might be worth it to attempt a guess in some cases, but others are obviously just there because it looks cool.

I don't understand some of the comments. The video doesn't appear to be made to show what a great Maxi player should play like. Its purpose seems to be to show how cool he'd look in a perfect world.

But it's still a very nice video, and I might try some of these things when I'm in a situation where I can take such a risk.

The purpose is to show information. I exaggerated the set ups (sometimes) to make it more clear.

Examples:
When Yoshimitsu does his teleport and Maxi does 3A into BT BL B+K. Of course, Yoshi players will never do teleport after LO K (maybe they will). But the intention is to show that 3A or 3aG tracks EXTREMELLY well to Maxi's left, which is important considering 3aG is safe on block and 3A leads to BL. It tracks so well it catches Yoshi's teleport.

When they block RC aA or 33bA or AA hits:
You probably don't know why the opponent gets stunned (or maybe yo do), like in the Mitsu sequence when I do 3B, RO B, RO KK:K (which is a valid tech roll trap, and there is an easy way to perform it).
RC A trades with 14 frames attacks. Usually 2As. I have seen in videos that lots of Maxi players are afraid to 2A (especially after AA hits), and they try to use RC B to jump over the 2As. Well, in those two sequences, I'm showing you that if you trade with anything with RC A (3Ks, 2As or slow Ks), you get free combos, they can't break the stun.

Some sequences, like you said, are there just to make the video look cool. But a process of abstraction is required. You don't have to do everything like I showed it, just take the part, the set up, the fragment, the information that you think you could use. If there is nothing you can learn or take or use from this video, then I failed.

Jumping over the enemy is risky, I know, but sometimes is better than blocking or GIing, or even better than doing 9K. And you can set up BT attacks sometimes. BT B+K for wake ups, or BT 2K for a free 4[A+B] set up or more a+bG wake ups.

Like you said, the video is mostly aesthetical, but that doesn't mean you can't use its information in real world. The sequence may be absurd, but not the reason why it works.

Marginal:
I usually don't writte summaries for my videos. =P

Aye, I agree that it can be useful, and personally, I did learn a few things.
But I'll admit that I didn't realize that it had so much depth. It's hard to tell sometimes.
