Missing character discussion

If Talim were still alive she could just bring back everyone from the dead like she did for Algol. There. Roster Fixed.
But who died? Cervy got reborn, Astaroth got remade into a million copies and Nighty is revived as Dumas.
It didn't say in the artbook that anyone else died. And Talim was confirmed to be alive before SCV came out by one of the developers or something so she is still alive.

If they arent in the game they basically are; or they'd be in the roster.. though with the way Cervantes is now.. I wish he WAS dead. (Or undead rather) I mean he can still change if say he hunted down Zasalamel if he wanted his powers back but in exchange hes a new puppet for him.)

That's just a short period of bringing back his son, his son is still remaned dead. Talim did have the power to bring back other people's life but not back to life, that means she can only bring people back to life in a short amount of time. She is still a mortal not a god or something. And she is not in a spiritual level!! She had those super abilities because she has been training for becoming a priest of the wind, and in order to become the priest of wind you need to learn a lot of different special abilities. She learned those power she wasn't born with it, people that are in a spiritual level are ether born with special power or people that get transform or reborn by other people and have special abilities or become immortal ( only in this game ). This had actually been a really big argument in our company, our team actually believes how most player believe but the older team that made the original Soul Calibur was pretty insist of the idea what I just wrote.

Sophitia is the only one that is dead, and it has been confirmed.

As far as playable character, also Miser and Greed.

I had forgotten about Sophi lol. Adding to that, would be her hubby. Poor Rothion =(

Oh yea, Raphael was also confirmed to have died but he came back somehow. I would guess he's a ghost because of that smoky stuff coming out from his feet while Nighty/Dumas is the body controlled by SE.
(Either that or Raph has some serious athlete's foot) xD

It's theorize that she called on Algol's son soul to help guide Algol and help him move on. I don't think she actually brought him back to life.

And where are your references for what you just claimed?
Because from what it said from her profiles, her village seems to be special. I would guess that their wind abilities are inherited since her dad is a shaman and her grandmother is the village elder so she's born with natural wind ability. Of course, she underwent training since she's a wind priestess to further enhance them.

It's been noted that there's a decline in the number of wind practitioners ever since the Spanish and Portugese came to their land. I would have to guess that a number of her villagers are converting to Christianity and abandoning their faith, causing more and more people to lose their wind powers. So, I would have to hypothesize that wind powers are both inherited and developed through faith and practice.

*Talim was predicted to be the last wind priestess. There could only be three possibilities for this :/
1)She never has kids. Whether it's because she dies, or because she's running around helping people and has no time.
2)She gives birth to a child that doesn't have her wind powers. Maybe if she doesn't marry someone from the village, the kid doesn't have powers. Or if she falls in love for a malfested, the dark energy would cancel out the kid's wind powers and make something in between?
3)She gives birth to a child that has wind powers but doesn't believe in her faith so it never develops those powers.

On another hand, Sophitia could probably return as a malfested form wielding the Soul Edge blade with somehow, Nightmare still being Nightmare. *Shrugs*

Nightmare, who was Siegfried, is now both Raphael and Pyrrha.

All hopes for a story that makes sense in this series were destroyed long ago. Quit arguing.

Technically, Soul Edge just uses people as hosts so it makes perfect sense x)
Nightmare was just a name but the real spirit is Inferno who lies within SE. It was never both Raph and Pyrrha. It just manipulated it wielders, like how it told Pyrrha to kill people and stabbity stab stab them and it'll be with her forever so that she won't be alone lol.

...I need to draw a picture of Inferno giving Pyrrha a great big hug.

Haha, excuse my friend, he likes to argue about some small things ( in video games, especially SC because he was part of the Soul Calibur team member, another words he work for Namco, soul calibur. ) one thing I hate about him is that he always thinks he knows everything, which he doesn't. By the way there are three people using this account, me and two of my other friends. So if you see some weard opinions, or some unpalite accusing, please excuse them.

Containing a Soul Edge shard (Pyrrha) doesn't make a character "Nightmare". If that's the case....Leixia better watch out who she trust, because each and every one of her friends are Nightmare. Natsu, at a less extent.

Am I wrong when I say that more characters would bring some hype back into this game and give more people more reasons to play regardless of whether or not they get a short cutscene and a paragraph or two at the end of arcade mode? Did anyone even care about that at all come to think of it?

Think about it, you played it, you didn't play it for no reason no matter how agrieved you feel about the lack of explanation from the game's creators. I mean as long as the game is good...

But whatever, I know how it is, we all want to see our favourite characters get where they're going after all. But while you're actually playing the game, none of that really matters, you are that character. Where they're going is where you're going. So yeah, I see how them going seemingly nowhere in the end, is kind of depressing.

^ I have to disagree here, especially with the state of Tekken now after Namco did the same thing PS is doing for SC.

Soul Egde host + Nightmare arm + zombie voice + creepy eyes = Nightmare.

Ok, well I don't care about Tekken so I don't know anything about that, but I must've missed the bit where PS are doing anything for SC.

It's a bit late to be worrying about story elements after releasing such an unfinished game is all I'm saying. They should be worrying about how they're going to balance said characters into the game at play.

Xiba, who is also her friend, is included also?

Xiba is Kilik's son, and we all know the journey Kilik went through before he went to anger management.

Like father, like son.

Whether you care about Tekken or not, their situations are still the same. Just two different age ranges of gamers, and it shows BIG TIME.

If it showed so much you might think I'd have noticed... I'm still curious what it is though, like I said, I don't know anything about that.
