Sophitia is the only one that is dead, and it has been confirmed.
As far as playable character, also Miser and Greed.
I had forgotten about Sophi lol. Adding to that, would be her hubby. Poor Rothion =(
Oh yea, Raphael was also confirmed to have died but he came back somehow. I would guess he's a ghost because of that smoky stuff coming out from his feet while Nighty/Dumas is the body controlled by SE.
(Either that or Raph has some serious athlete's foot) xD
That's just a short period of bringing back his son, his son is still remaned dead. Talim did have the power to bring back other people's life but not back to life, that means she can only bring people back to life in a short amount of time. She is still a mortal not a god or something. And she is not in a spiritual level!! She had those super abilities because she has been training for becoming a priest of the wind, and in order to become the priest of wind you need to learn a lot of different special abilities. She learned those power she wasn't born with it, people that are in a spiritual level are ether born with special power or people that get transform or reborn by other people and have special abilities or become immortal ( only in this game ). This had actually been a really big argument in our company, our team actually believes how most player believe but the older team that made the original Soul Calibur was pretty insist of the idea what I just wrote.
It's theorize that she called on Algol's son soul to help guide Algol and help him move on. I don't think she actually brought him back to life.
And where are your references for what you just claimed?
Because from what it said from her profiles, her village seems to be special. I would guess that their wind abilities are inherited since her dad is a shaman and her grandmother is the village elder so she's born with natural wind ability. Of course, she underwent training since she's a wind priestess to further enhance them.
It's been noted that there's a decline in the number of wind practitioners ever since the Spanish and Portugese came to their land. I would have to guess that a number of her villagers are converting to Christianity and abandoning their faith, causing more and more people to lose their wind powers. So, I would have to hypothesize that wind powers are both inherited and developed through faith and practice.
*Talim was predicted to be the last wind priestess. There could only be three possibilities for this :/
1)She never has kids. Whether it's because she dies, or because she's running around helping people and has no time.
2)She gives birth to a child that doesn't have her wind powers. Maybe if she doesn't marry someone from the village, the kid doesn't have powers. Or if she falls in love for a malfested, the dark energy would cancel out the kid's wind powers and make something in between?
3)She gives birth to a child that has wind powers but doesn't believe in her faith so it never develops those powers.
