MIST mixups

Exactly. MST A+ B and MST B BE have the Revenge property (just like in SC1) and they will absorb a single hit. Don't know why the move is referred to as "GI" in-game. But I'd still take this version of the move any day of the week above SC4's MST A+B, which did nothing.

And let's face it. Chances of an update where they add moves is highly unlikely. So we have no choice but to accept what's given.

Yeah but I would gladly exchange scv mist bb+k for sciv b,4b. Then again impalement on clean hit might be too strong.

So far MST has no real application in the game as is and is limited to matchup specific stuff.
It still will go under 2A and maybe under other mid atacks, but no viable punishment is available to make it worthwhile
MST A+B is pretty useless, it doesnt counter any heavy attacks, gets beaten by combos (NC's like AA,BB etc) and will not punish single pokes even after absorbing it.

Mixup potential looks dubious at best, but I keep looking.

Sounds depressing...

If u fight someone overly aggressive upon entering mist stance then incorporate bb+k. On ch, the b poke will lead into b+k guaranteed or bbb which will cause a minor stun. Good speed and priority from what I have notice so far. Try to mix in single pokes followed by throws and of course mist bA+B+K. If u get them accustomed to these then mix in kb. but don't fall in love with kb because it is not a nc. :( mistA has it's uses but better used in a mix up game. No denying that mist was nerfed but it does have its uses even though it might not seem like it. Lets hope for an update that will address Mitsu and his mist stance. I want to see mist bk, mist kb should be nc, mist 6bb and maybe add the shoulder move that Mitsu does when he is BT. To me the animation of the move would fit well from mist stance. that would be welcome addition IMO.

Bringing back mist 6b,b would really help because it gives Mitsu a good damaging semi fast mid hitting move. As mention below mist a+b is slow, b+k only impales on ch etc. At least mist 6b would keep opponent somewhat honest. What do ya think?

Yeah looks like you're pretty safe against MST if you just duck and stand for A+B. That's only if you're at severe disadvantage though... you can just 2A to beat things at small disadvantage and up. B+K is -1 on hit so you can get stuffed by any TC that's i18 or faster, guaranteed.

MST jumping can beat 2A and give you enough advantage to have a real mixup, but again, NH B+K is not threatening.

He doesnt have any mixups. His stance it shit now without having 6+b like he did in 4. You can just duck at all times and react to the mids. Its pretty terrible imo.

As much as I try to defend his mist stance I can't deny that what you said is true for most part. Lol. Yes there isn't much reason for an opponent to duck when Mitsu goes into mist. But as I said before if you do fight an aggressive opponent , mist b into either bbb or bb+k does actually work. But I understand your point.

i stand corrected. Mist bk is a NC. What was I smoking. My bad ya. I could have sworn previously when playing online that someone ate the kick but block the second hit. All this time that I have been successful with move, I thought my opponents were careless in not blocking or ducking second hit.

One mixup you might try for MST...

3B, 236B(BE), 66MST, followed by whatever. costs meter, but leaves you close enough and at enough advantage to set up whatever you want (MST throws, K~B, BBB, A).

Been getting mixed results with it though.

MST mixups are bad.. If the opponent duck and wake on A+B, he have no risk... Only B+K can give damages, but it don't throw like a counter hit..

But Mitsu still strong. 3B, 236B BE + tech trap are strong, 100 dmg at less. And 2K BE B still RO. 4KB is very good, safe and crush the gard in 9. 4B is very stong.

MST can be used after 4A6 if it good mixed with 4A, or after 11BA6 if it good mix with 11B. It can be used after BB6 on block if you see that the opponent doesn't try to recup the priority. It can surprise.. But it dangerous and not so good..

Not 100% sure if this was posted earlier but...

If you happen to land 44B on a CH (I have to check for frames if this is unsafe on block) you can do:

CH 44B6, (go to MST) B, B+K, 1A

or

CH 44B6, (go to MST) B BE, 3B, 236 B BE, 1B (or 1A as a tech trap)

or as a KO combo in the final round

CH 44B6, (go to MST), B BE, 3B, 236B BE, CE (with optional 66_33_99 BB afterwards)

very dangerous on bb6 on block. But as you said after throwing out a few bb6, I have caught my opponent by suprise by transitioning into mist. But when Opponent expects,...... omg..... :(

Lets all hit Dasihi on his twitter account and ask for better properties for mist. mist k+b needs to be faster. I'm ok with attack throw on counter hit but at least make move faster. Same with mist a. I'm not too happy with mist a+b. And after mist bb+k, more of a pushback. Cant tell you how many times I've gotten caught after a blocked mist bb+k. (I forget that mitsu remains in stance after bb+k).

-5 according to guide on block when transition to mist. -8 regular.

I thought 44b ch slams opponent to ground?

Force destruct is right. 44b6 (ch) leads to massive juggle. you can certainly launch with mist bA+B+K. Great find!!!

The main thing I use it for is setting up throws. It goes under certain moves and most people think you are going to attack, then you can throw. His MST throw knocks the opponent away though so it isnt that useful.

And for the guy who said playing Mitsu is hard, Try ViolaXD. I literally have just dropped her completely for Mit. Yeah his combo potential isnt great, but you really dont need that when one 236B gets a fifth of their bar down.
