So I have a question myself. I've been playing with Rugi for a bit now and I wanted to know what should I do against aPat and Cervantes? Since I'm still new I'm not quite sure what to do against them

I wasn't only speaking about ease of use but also about pure efficiency. Imo when you are new and want to win as fast and easy as possible, your best choice would probably be mitsurugi.I feel that Pyrrha is even easier to use compared to Mitsurugi.
my main aggrivation with rush downers is that there never particularly good, i know its purely my fault, but i hate getting knocked down, then constantly hit over and over by simple strings because im over thinking my enemies attack strings, but the moment i stop over thinking is always wen the mix up starts. i also hate getting my few attacks in once i finaly stop the rush down and then being put back in to defense again, only for them to keep attacking.Mitsurugi can definitely compete with any of the other characters. If you're getting hit out of your moves, and not getting your opponent to freeze up so you can do your mixups, you probably need to start poking more. I'm no Mitsu expert, but 2A will serve you well to stop rushdown characters.
Natsu is good, but she's totally different from Mitsurugi. Like Solo said, she has no real mixups except maybe PO B and PO B+K, and even those can be reacted to by good players. And her CH fishing has pretty much been nerfed down to WS K and 22A.
maxi has some strings were hes easly countered and stopped, i hate how ever, my lack of ability to deal with rush down and maxi's insane damage wen he finally gets in. i also still cant block some of his lows on reflex...infact i have alot of problems with lows that are fast even with 600+ games on my belt now, i can often only block em wen i guess em ahead of time (which i think is the point of mixup)The OP won't read this thread anymore but I would still like to say that if you have troubles against Maxi, it's not because your character has problems. It's because you don't understand how to fight Maxi. The best way to learn how to fight Maxi is by playing him yourself for a while, understand his strings and develop a sense for where his holes are. You can also more easily recognize the typical flow of strings that most people use, which is helpful against most Maxi players.
With alpha Patroklos you definitely have an uphill battle. While you are learning how to play the game, how to fight other characters specifically, and how to execute Patboy's combos and just frames, you will pile up loss after loss against other players who are actually weaker than you, which you would have beaten easily with anyone else.
i actualy like fighting higher ranked people now because most of them over estimate me so theres no having to deal with rush down. also skilled players fight with a more understandable mindset and its much easier to guess there mix up apposed to just random attacks from a mid level player who then just changes it up on a whim.In my scrubby opinion, the issue is with your fundamentals and aiming only at the top. Play against people of all skill levels. I've got the same issue myself, it's blatantly obvious but I play with people of all skill levels because I enjoy having the option of going back and forth between insanely hardcore and mind-numbingly casual. I love it, I can see the progress I'm making and I'm enjoying every single match I play regardless of my opponent's skill level compared to mine.
Taking only a stress-free or high-stress approach will likely leave gaps in what you learn. What good is being able to JG every single attack in the game if your offense is so predictable they just JG right back and annihilate you with chip damage from throws?
Also: although there are clearly (much-disagreed upon) tiers in the game it's pretty balanced so just keep cracking with a character you enjoy playing instead of caring about that. There's just such a wide variety of playstyles available that chances are one of them will appeal to you enough to stick with them and start giving all these tourney-level players hell :3
I can't find a practical usage for FMD. But thats all.what moves from mitsurugi shouldn't be used at all except combos? I feel my list of moves is way too short and need to expand, but some of those are unsafe even on hit.
