I swear everytime I read things like this I feel as though SC players are its own breed and oblivious to other respective fighting game communities, or just like being in denial. Other fighting games don't have this to many tournaments problem you speak of period. In fact every tournament since pre-patch Calibur 5 in every region has all performed roughly the same which is extremely poor. The sad thing is the game has been presented with more opportunities than any other Calibur before it and fell off around the 3-4 month period.

Not to mention for example SC4 didn't even have the opportunities SC5 had didn't fall off as fast. For everytime this game falls flat on its face there is a new excuse. So I can't say I'm surprised.

The fall off in turnouts speak for themself and it has a direct correlation to the patch. It's to late to save it. The comment about the patch being a convenient excuse for people getting there shit pushed in is pretty funny as well. Erasing a whole style of play/almost entirely erasing it is always a positive apparently. This is exactly part of the reason the game is in the situation it is but whatever.

The only games that don't have that problem with having too many tournaments are SF and Marvel.

SCV did numbers only at Winter Brawl and Final Round which are in areas that traditionally have bigger 3D communities, along with being aided by people not having much else to play until SFxT released. The game started falling off after Final Round and not after patching if you go back and look at tournament entries.

SCV isn't the only game with a low turnout at MLG. Last I heard KOF had 15 people entered when that game has a bigger following on the west coast. Not everyone is just interested in the money or able to go to a tournament this close to EVO, or want to spend the money to enter a tournament that they have no chance in winning in. Most gamers are broke asses and have to preplan months in advance to go somewhere, and can maybe go to 1 or 2 big events a year, and need more reasons besides money to go somewhere since that money only goes to top 8. Not to mention, more people are choosing to stay home and play this game because of how convenient online is.

Like I said, I have problems with the game, but my problems with the game are more in the lines of the game design itself and not something changed by the patching. The patching has actually improved this game for the better competitively, but for some it's easier to blame the patch or their character instead of themselves. But who of real significance has really quit this game because of the patching?

And you talk about me being in denial, but I don't see you at any local tournaments to support the scene. I just see you playing online and only coming out for that eSports™ money. Plus weren't you trashing this game on Facebook saying that the game is ass and now you on here flip flopping on some John Kerry shit talking about how people don't support the game. Which is it?

I know I'm going to be pushing as many people"s shit in as possible...since my girl won't let me push hers in. =(

^ O_o wow, is this how far you people will go with the excuses now. To just pull something out of thin air now. Me one man S-U someone who rarely ever posts here, has shown up to more tournaments within my SC4-SC5 time period being here than arguably 95%% of the people on here. I'd even argue my one two tourney trip to Winter Brawl and MLG Ohio is more than what 95% of the SC base has shown up to.

Like are you for real. You guys had a thread not to long ago with a post in it from Malice I believe talking about the lack of people calling people out with MM's and hype. Talking about how everyone is to scared. I call someone out and I also call out anyone else universally and not a single person does anything.

You guys have 17 man Evo circuit majors in damn near every region not 1, not 2, but multiple. You have 16,700 pot offerings from MLG and only 43 Entrants which I'm one of. I don't read here much either but from what I've been told the forums are dead in terms of activity as well.

In SC4 love me or hate I arguably brought the most hype to your game in the U.S as the new online player that was always in a MM with big names, etc (and no one can tell me different as everyone and their mother on here used to read it, follow it and get a kick out of it)

Nigga please I just lost all respect for u in one post cause its fake as fuq and the two people who liked who probably haven't been to shit or contributed to anything Calibur in there time being here.

Just keeping it real. You should do the same. While i do bitch about this game I dont pull shit outta my ass.

N im just stating facts as well (assuming the post was towards me).

Yea u contribute to the game, probably more than half of this community. But to support it and then Shit on it is a different story bro. Dont like the changes then simply move on.. Like SOOOO many others..

This game isnt prefect and there are somethings that i dont like... But when it comes to having new players enter the community and read, (Whats suppose to be an opinion) BULLSHIT on how much you or anyone else dislike the game changes, how the hell does that suppose to make them feel better about picking up and learning the game... You rally the troops all the time with BS like this.. Fact or Not, Sometimes its smart to just be quite and watch things fall flat on its own..

N the fact that u "Lost Respect" shows how much of a REAL person u truly are.. Ppl agree to disagree... Guess we ENEMIES now (^_^)b.

I liked the comment cause everything I've seen you post in this thread or any other is just negative bullshit towards SCV. If your not happy scoot your ass on down the road to something you actually like. No need for you to come on this website dedicated to the SC series and down grade the game WE LIKE. I mean no offense by this post just stating facts.

Perhaps you have given more to the tournament scene than 95% of us here but none of it matters when your posting all this bullshit in essence tearing the scene apart.

MM Hawkeye and watch that cash slip out your pocket. Bring the hype baby bring it!

Fair enough. As far as the lose respect comment its based on the nature of your comment as i thought it was fake as it could possibly be. I don't like fake. Despite the fact i bitch a lot about this game. As a person I dont pull shit outta thin air like that. It's not my style and I don't associate with it. Where only enemies under that misunderstanding if it is in fact one. Otherwise its all good.

Consider it done. But since your quick to run your mouth about the cash slipping out of my pocket. If you truly have faith you should side bet some of your own money on it. You can always paypal.

$100.00 FT5 if he's down for it. You'll quickly learn I'm not afraid to win or lose. Plus the game system is now in his favor. Make it happen.

If Hawkeye agrees I have NO problem taking your money and accept your offer. I don't think the system favors his style over yours, I personally just think he's a better player than you in general. Just my opinion of course from watching both of you play.

Sorry to put you on the spot Hawkeye and feel free to not accept if you don't want too but I know you like easy money.

Less talk. Start putting up numbers where your mouth is please or do i have to make suggestions for that as well.

Starting side bet bid $50 between me and you. If you can do more lemme know.

Haha, sleeping on SU. Like him or hate him, his skill deserves recognition. My advice; show up and put your money where your mouth is. That, or you can continue the ride on the coat-tail of Hawkeye's success. If you do show up, ask what Hawkeye's favorite colors are. I'll buy you the pom-pom's.

as for the negativity towards numbers, appearances, and support of this community- highlighting the communities flaws isn't the best way to attract new players or promote your scene. There's no need for it, and quite frankly, should stay out of this thread.

All that matters is who's around now- fuck the rest.
