My Cast Of Freaks

Matty82

[13] Hero
Well after seeing all the great creations from fellow members I though I'd do likewise. So heres my cast of characters, I've had so much fun and at time frustration in making these guys so I hope you find one or two that you like some are better then others but I at least hope they are a little diverse

I remember the first time I heard a professional pianist on stage. As soon as I got home, I practiced for 6 hours straight. Tonight's gonna be a looong night.

You have a discerning eye for colors and patterns. The Viola hair/Marie Antoinette collar/gradient red dress in particular is nothing short of astounding. I could hardly believe that ridiculous fan-looking thing could be so elegantly utilized. I'm also digging the goth-loli/striped socks/mini-hat/twin tails girl and the butterfly patterned/arabian nights/dancer chick.

Your creations are so good, I can't even figure out wtf you put onto them. Are those DLC items? Which ones specifically?

These are some impressive characters you've created my friend. You really put the SC V CaS creator to excellent use in making these them and I would see what other characters you can create.

Thanks so much thats very flattering indeed! As for DLC items, to my memory the only stuff I used were the fairy wings, egyptian sash, one of the bikinis and the dragon head. My secret weapon is the pocket stickers they are so handy for creating textures and really changing the look of an item

Your "Cast of Freaks" as you call them are just amazing, I really like Nashiko, Yuki, Rozaline, and Muneyoshi. Seeing your creations certainly inspires me to create more characters and show them here but... I'm sure no one will give me anymore feedback.

@V.Rozaria: Even this exceptional thread's only got like 3 different repliers. Probably from the humdrum title and Matty's relative obscurity. The CaS community's small. To me it's more about the learning experience.

@Matty82: I see them now. Super-sized bow ties and pockets everywhere. I feel like John Nash deciphering the mathematical fabric of reality.

Those are really wonderful. There are many reasons that I am drawn to your characters but I think the reason they resonate with me has something to do with their sense of self possessed narrative. They remind me of illustrations for a fairytale... it isn't necessary that I know the details of the story, but I feel that a strong concept or purpose drives each of them. And... the way you use the tattoos to show depth and form is really wonderful. I feel a little sheepish about the times I have used the patterns just to distinguish one shape from the other. Very nice...Whimsical ...well executed... beautiful. :)

awesome! i really like the steampunk dude, the stone-guard the bellydancer
but you really got me at the z.w.e.i. style girl with the butterfly wings (me :

can't wait to see more =)

I like these alot. I myself was planning to use the jeans like stickers for texture's like these, but i haven't gotten around to it yet. Now that i have seen how great they look, i'm more anxious to work with em. I like the Vampire girl, the Steampunk male, the Fairy girl and the Ice samurai the most. Great job on the rest aswell.

I'm so glad you picked up on the narrative angle, I'm a keen artist and character designer so creating characters that have a story to tell and showing that in one single image is very much how I work with a pencil.
So its very pleasing to hear I was able to show this on a create system on a computer game

Honestly guys thank you all for you lovely comments its really made my day :) and do please please please show me your work. Hopefully I will have more creations to show you

"Hmm, what item is this? Oh it's the Rococo skirt, but then, how did he manage to make those bumpma- ... Oh god it's the ribbon sticker."
That sums up pretty much most of my reactions when looking through your pictures. Seriously, you kept on making me wonder about how you made some items look like they are, discovering after a short while that they are clever uses of patterns with overlays of stickers, other times with accessories. I will admit, I am extremely impressed.

Definitely looking forward for your next updates!

Your creations make me feel inept. x3 They also make me realize I need to get past level 53... so many good fucking stickers to use at higher levels.. like the one you used on the Rococo dress.... klsjhfsdklfs *cries* I hate the game too much to level. ;.;

I just tried playing with the ribbon sticker. It's magical... Thank you again for these REVELATIONS.

Hehehe its amazing when your look at something at different angle isn't it? I'm really happy i could inspire you
Don't forget to show us these new creations
